Endings in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 directly depend on the choices made during the game, the decisions made, the style of play and the key stages. Despite the variety of possible actions and the presence of a reputation system that allows for more flexible dialogue, the game has only a few endings.
In this article we will analyze both endings of the game, and also tell you how to get all endings in KCD 2.
How many endings in KCD 2
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 only three endings: the best, considered original, bad and secret. In addition, there is an additional ending, in which the scene before the credits changes, but the preceding events remain unchanged. All the choices made during the game, as well as relationships with characters, including reputation and romances, affect only the story at that moment, but not its conclusion.
How to get the good ending in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To get the good ending, you need to make a number of key choices as you progress through the story.
Hand over Semin or keep quiet
As part of the assignment "Back in the Saddle" Indro will need to visit Nebakov and find out what is happening in the fortress. Along the way, you can find a real lord in the dungeon, as well as find out information about horses, of which there are too many in Nebakov. Returning to Bergov, you will have to report, while in the dialogue for a good ending it is worth limiting yourself to one line:
- "I don't know anything about that." - will give you the opportunity to avoid the raid on Semin and get the trophy "Silence is Golden".
Later, while completing the task "Necessary Evil", you will need to torture the bandit. He will tell you about Semin's connection with the gang of robbers. With this knowledge, you can follow two paths, but for a good ending, you need to choose the following answers:
- "Let's keep quiet about Semin" - Indro and Jan will remain silent in the dialogue with Bergov about Semin.
- "Robbers in Nebakov" or "The Bandits Control the Nebaks" - Mr. Otto will decide to storm Nebakov, Semin will remain safe.
- "Nobody helped these bandits" - Unlocks the Silence is Golden trophy.
The peculiarity of this branch is that you will have to storm the Nebaks in any case. Henry's silence will allow you to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.
Kill Istvan fairly
In story mission #12 "Storm" Henry is asked to complete several objectives in Troska Castle. Among them are there will be a task to kill Istvan TothHaving made your way into the traitor's chambers, you must decide what to do with him:
- "Deal with Istvan in a dishonest way" - a cutscene will start, during which Henry will throw Toth out of the window.
- "Accept the challenge" — a more difficult option, in which you have to defeat the enemy in a fair duel.
After killing Toth, you will unlock the "Revenge" trophy anyway, but a fair duel will allow you to unlock the good ending without getting your hands dirty.
Prevent a raid on the village of Maleshov
While completing the 23rd story mission "Dancing with the Devil", you need to visit the village of Maleshov at night. In the future, Henry will have to choose: to burn the village, which will subsequently reduce the number of enemies during the siege of the castle, or to defend Maleshov. For a good ending, it is important to consistently answer as follows:
- "No! I will not kill innocents!"
- "My family was killed in such a raid."
- "Let's have a duel."
To be win a duel with Dry Devil, after which you can continue the quest. Fighting the Devil will not spoil the relationship, but will allow you to open the achievement "Not a single good deed ..."
Defeat Eric
In the 26th story quest "Civitas Pragensis", the key stage is a duel with Erik, who previously acted as an ally of Istvan Toth. It is possible to defeat Erik in battle, but this does not affect the ending.
Spare Markwart von Aulitz
As part of the 30th mission "Payback", you can find Markvart von Aulitz in an enemy camp, which is heavily guarded. It is important to sneak in unnoticed, once you are inside, start the cutscene. The meeting itself will unlock the trophy "Face to Face".
Indro can choose three possible outcomes of events:
- Spare Markwart - After the conversation, just leave the tavern, von Aulitz will still die, but later. A noble deed will allow you to get the best ending.
- It is dishonorable to kill Markvart — the worst of the choices, since killing in a chair is considered humiliating.
- End Markvart's life with honor - von Aulitz will accept his death standing, but even such a murder will have a negative impact on the ending.
Let Brabant go
Brabant will betray Henry twice: first after the escape, and then when you find him with the barely alive Shmuel in the enemy camp. If you want the good ending, you will have to spare him - but be prepared, he will immediately call the guards.
Save Shmuel
Saving Shmuel is not a key decision, nor does it affect Henry's honor. If you put the guy on a horse and run away with him, you'll have to fight off the guards. An alternative method is to dress up as a soldier and lie that you're carrying the body of a spy.
If you go alone and leave Shmuel to bleed out, he will soon be caught by the guards and hanged. It is better to save Shmuel so that Henry's parents will be proud of him in the ending.
Conversation with parents at the end of the game
In a dialogue with parents, the results of the game will be summed up, in particular:
- Did Indro kill the characters?, whom he wanted to take revenge on in the first part of the game. If so, the father will say that he always wanted Henry to go down a different path.
- Jindrich's love interest: the man will tell about his ideal partner, with whom he had an affair during the course of the game.
- The protagonist's mother will affect the game's style: Did Henry live according to his conscience or did he commit robberies and steal?
The parents' reaction in the last cutscene depends not only on the key moments described earlier, but also on the overall style of the game. If Henry lived according to his conscience: avoided theft, burglary, unjustified cruelty, his father and mother will praise the young man. If he goes down the wrong path, he will have to listen to the discontent of his mother, who will compare Henry with those he tried to take revenge on.
How to Get the Secret Ending in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
During the nineteenth story mission "King's Gambit" there will be an opportunity kill King Sigismund. While doing the quest, do everything Henry is told. Soon Sigismund will ask the servant to leave so that the masters can discuss important matters, at which point the corresponding objective "Serve King Sigismund of Luxembourg" will appear.
As part of the objective "Bring the confiscated cup to Bailiff Plumel", you need to visit the law enforcement officer's room. Once inside, turn right and head to the table in the far corner. You'll find the blade under some papers.
Now all that's left to do is approach the villain from behind and stab him. There won't be any special cutscenes or consequences: the credits will appear, stating that Henry killed Sigismund and stopped the war, even though he himself died almost immediately. In addition to Sigismund, you can also kill Markvart too, but this action will not give any unique screensaver. Henry will be killed, and the standard notification about death at the hands of the guards will be displayed on the screen.
How to unlock the bad ending
Bad ending is also considered early, since Indřich dies in it. To reach this ending you will need:
- In the quest "Necessary Evil" raid Semin, telling Bergov about the village's connection with the bandits. After that, the attack on the settlement will begin. This choice also blocks the receipt of trophy "Silence is golden."
- During the battle take Semin's side and kill Bergov's soldiers.
Returning from Semin, Jan and Indro will tell you about what happened, especially about the ambush on Bergov. Along the way, they will touch on the reason for the death of the lord's garrison in a dialogue, after which a choice will appear: remain silent or confess to murder. In the second case, Bergov will decide to send the men to prison. After some time, both Jan and Henry will find themselves in a noose in the courtyard of the fortress. At the end, the player will be shown a message: "The game is over. You have been executed for your crimes."
In addition to the key actions described above that lead to a bad ending, there are several other decisions that negatively affect the ending:
- Having decided side with Otto von Bergow, we will have to eliminate Semin together with the manager, which the parents will not like.
- Sukhoi Chert and agree to the destruction of the Maleshov settlement.
- Give in to the thirst for revenge with your own hands kill Markwart von Aulitz, who was responsible for the death of Indro's parents by not allowing him to die on his own.
- Finish off the Frenchman Brabant, who had captured Shmuel. Such a decision, although it would make escape easier, would lead to condemnation from Martin.
- Robbery and murder of innocent people will not cause delight in the protagonist's family, try to avoid any robberies and crimes.
- During a conversation with parents, try to justify yourself and refuse to repent in the sins committed.
All romantic endings
During the game, several serious romances are available, each of which has its own logical conclusion.
rose flower
The affair with Rosa Ruthardt does not imply a continuation. At the very beginning of the story quest "Civitas Pragensis" The lady leaves the Suchdol fortress and goes with her father to Podebrady, located a hundred kilometers from Kutna Hora.
As they part, the girl gives Henry one last kiss and promises not to forget her knight, after which it will no longer be possible to meet her.
Katherine
If you successfully build a relationship with Katerina, you will be able to talk to her during the final quest. "Judgment Day". The combat girlfriend its that she really wants to see someone next to her, but does not believe that it is possible.
If you try to cheer her up, you'll hear an ambiguous "We'll see." However, after completing the story, you won't be able to talk to Katerina about the relationship anymore, despite the NPC's presence in the "Devil's Place" tavern.
Theresa
Teresa is Henry's canonical love interest from the first part, the girl stayed in Skalitz, and the man went on a military campaign. Avoid romances throughout the game. with key romantic partners Indro: Rosa, Katerina and Jan. Short-term affairs with other girls or bathhouse attendants do not violate this condition.
If you managed to remain faithful to your beloved, at the end of the game there will be a line about returning home to your family. In this case, before the credits you will be able to see a short video in which Henry comes to Theresa.
We hope that our article helped you figure out how to open all the endings in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, as well as learn about the existence of a secret ending. If you have any questions, ask them in commentsWe will be sure to answer every one.
Well, yes, of course the most stupid and childish choices lead to a good ending (Henry's schizophrenic figment of his imagination said that he was a good boy).
IMHO Istvan is the coolest and most honest guy, unlike many other representatives of the nobility. And Henry remained a juvenile d*** even after going through such a difficult but enlightening path.
You can carry Shmul to the horse, and tell the guards that you are taking him to bury the spy's corpse. You leave quietly and peacefully.
Thanks for the comment, we have added to the article
This is only if you killed the Frenchman. If you leave him, any guard will immediately become aggro and you will have to carry Shmuel stealthily.
Why does the guide talk about choosing to "spare or kill Eric" if after the battle a cutscene starts anyway, Henry leaves and Eric remains alive?
I don't understand either, I had the same thing, I went to battle him solo + basically there is one ending + secret cast scene, because yes, you can kill the king, but that's the point and yes, you can tell the master everything and be hanged. Then you need to write about more than 200 endings like in f3. The game has one ending, and the rest are mission finals.
It's all mixed up here and the ending is affected by the Frenchman's death. Eric can't be killed.
