To activate the quest, you need to find at least one of three disks located in the territories of the first and second acts:

First engraved disc of the Githyanki
The first decryption disk is located in Underdark. It lies in an office on the fifth floor of the tower, accessible by elevator. To activate the lift, follow these steps:
- Climb down the caps of the huge mushrooms growing from the rocks outside to the base of the tower.
- At the bottom, explore the small garden and collect Sussur flowers.
- Go into the tower, to the first floor, opening the door [KS - 15].
- On the ground floor you will see a device with an energy generator. Interact with it and combine it with the Sussur Flower.
As soon as you place the Sussur Flower in the generator, the elevator in the tower will activate. From the first floor, walk up the stairs to the second, enter the elevator and press the lift button to get to the fifth.
Exit the elevator and examine the table to find an Engraved Githyanki Disc. Make sure you select the letters (RMB + Select), because By default, disk interaction invokes a read command.

Second Engraved Githyanki Disc
The disk with the second part of the story of Orpheus in Baldur's Gate 3 is kept by a character named Vaarl, you can find him in the classroom in Illek nursery. Head there and see Savarsh Ketk chastising Vaarl for being spineless. Next there are two options. The first is merciless: select the dialogue action “Watch what is happening”, as a result Vaarl will be killed, and from his corpse you can pick up the second disk.
The second method will save Vaarl's life:
- Choose the persuasive line “Leave the boy alone” [KS - 21],
- Approach Vaarl, select detect thoughts [CS - 9], in order to find out the name that the boy almost let slip about.
- With your next response, choose “Just like Orpheus?”
- Next, there will be a chance to take the disk with the writings from him: force him to hand over the tablet under the threat of spilling the beans to Savarsh Ketku, and the guy will make a concession.

Third Etched Githyanki Disc
The last relic is kept in Balthazar's locked office in Tormov's tomb. Zarrell will fill you in on the matter and give you the key to Balthazar’s room in the Moon Towers. Visit the office and examine the bookshelf next to the entrance, on which lies the third disc with the history of Orpheus.
After finding the last item, discuss the information received with Laezel. The warrior will experience mixed feelings after studying the contents of the discs with writings, but, ultimately, will continue to believe in the legitimacy of Vlaakith's rule.
