How to build a manor in Manor Lords
To build a manor, you need to bring the settlement to the level "Little Village", and to construct the building you need the following resources:
- Wood ×5.
- Boards ×20.
- Stone ×15.
It is also worth noting that in each region there can only be one estate. If the settlement is not building a manor, check the level and make sure that a building of this type has not been built before. The best place to build a manor is city centerso that the squad can quickly reach any point in the settlement.
How to improve the estate
All improvements to the estate can be built immediately during the construction of the building. If you haven’t done this, you can upgrade the building later. To improve the estate, click on it and select "Castle Planner". There are four options in the list of improvements:
- Walls and gates - decorative and partially protective structure. age gates are created automatically.
- External tower - installed along the walls, allows you to form a small detachment that will defend against attackers, firing at them.
- Watch tower — increases the maximum squad size to 12 people; each region can have only one such structure.
- Tax office - decorative building.
What is a manor for?
The construction of an estate is a necessary step in the development of each region, because without it, the ruler will have difficulty controlling the settlement without an istration.
Squad
The only way to hire a squad is to build an estate. After its construction, four warriors will the city’s army.
In the future, with the help of the estate, you can increase your squad. To do this, click on the squad tab in the “Army”, go to the parameter "Preparation of the squad", then click on the money icon located under the images of the fighters. They can only be hired for money from treasury, one soldier will cost 50 measures.
Taxes
Another important function of the estate is taxation. By going to the “Taxes” section, you can increase the land tax, with the help of which the treasury is replenished with money, as well as church tithes: part of the food goes to the church, and in return the ruler receives influence.

Influence and protection
The last reason why you need an estate is maintaining order and protecting. When building an estate, the ruler immediately receives 250 influence points and raises the istrative level of the settlement. If there is an inn in the city, residents may start drinking and turn to robbers, but the presence of an istrative building reduces the likelihood of these events.
