Briefly about the events of the previous season

Keitaro Gentoga has been attracting ghosts all his life, which did not make him particularly happy, because in the past it led to a sad incident. As a result of these events, the young man shared the same curse with his childhood friend Eiko Hozuki and, tormented by guilt, locked himself in his room, becoming a recluse.

A few years later, Eiko was able to pull her beloved friend out of depression, return him to society and help him enter university. To practice communication skills and a kind of therapy, Keitaro agrees to become a tutor to Yayoi Hozuki, the little cousin of his friend who lost her parents. This acquaintance dramatically changes the life of the main character, because his newly made student is not only a child prodigy, but also has spiritualist abilities.

Yayoi gathers powerful spirits to defeat the Death Specter, a particularly dangerous supernatural creature that has taken her mother's soul. Gentogi's abilities prove very useful to the girl in her mission, and as a result, the younger Hozuki begins dragging her tutor and Eiko to all sorts of places with paranormal activity.

In the process of collecting spirits, the heroes immediately face two serious problems: a meeting with the gyaru Ai Kamie, who is promised as a bride to the Deity, which is far from a bright prospect, and a collision with some ghosts that capture people’s bodies and conduct their own dark affairs.

Unknown to Ai Kamiya herself, a connection with the Deity in the past ruined the life of her brother, and the people around the girl suffer misfortunes because of her. Since God is incredibly powerful, Yayoi decides to gather a certain number of so-called "Graduates" who can resist this powerful opponent, for which they have to go to S-rank places.

In the finale of the first part, Yayoi, Eiko and Keitaro develop a plan to rescue Ai with the participation of all the captured “Graduates” and go to fight with God. Along the way, Hozuki Jr. begins a very dangerous game when, in a conversation with ghosts who have replaced people, she pretends to be the same, and then s an exorcist she knows and enters into an alliance with her to counter this threat.

Watching season 2 of the anime Dark Meeting will be incredibly interesting. It is worth waiting for a large-scale battle between the trio of protagonists and the Deity and further development of the storyline with spirits replacing people.
