Taoqi [Taoqi] in Wuthering Waves β a four-star wielder of a wide blade and the Havoc element, a sort of βtankβ whose skills depend on the defense indicator. The girl imposes shields that absorb a certain percentage of damage, and her Outro skill increases the damage of the next characterβs resonance skill by 38%, which makes her an excellent character for beginners just starting to study the world and combat system of Wuzzing Waves.
However, as befits a tank, the gameplay for her is very slow, which is why she takes up a lot of time on the battlefield, and there are problems with the character build - she can be both a and a secondary damage dealer / hybrid. However, as a , she loses many of her functions, including the Outro skill, and as a sub-DD has mediocre damage and does not reach the alternatives, which is why you have to tinker with the selection of stats. In this guide, we will tell you about the Taoqi build, including the best weapons, Echo, stats and materials for pumping.

How to get Taoqi
Taoci in Wowering Waves is a 4β character that can be obtained from any banner, including the weapon banner, but with a random chance. To unlock the hero's resonance circuits, you need to get copies of it. The easiest way to collect Taoci consta is when its drop rate increases in the event banner.
Characteristics of Taoqi
Depending on the stage of elevation, the values ββof the main characteristics increase: attack power, health and defense. You can track the exact increases in parameters in the table below:
Level of | Basic Health | Basic Attack | Basic protection |
1 | 716 | 18 | 128 |
20 | 2340 | 60 | 411 |
30 | 2943 | 75 | 517 |
40 | 4024 | 104 | 705 |
50 | 6185 | 133 | 894 |
60 | 6185 | 161 | 1082 |
70 | 7266 | 186 | 1271 |
80 | 8347 | 210 | 1459 |
90 | 8950 | 225 | 1564 |
As you learn talents in the Skills tab, Taoqi gains an additional increase to Havoc's damage bonus and a 12% defense bonus.
Taoqi's abilities
In Wusing Waves, Taoqi represents a damage dealer with abilities, providing moderately strong shields and reducing incoming damage. What makes her unique is that when parrying attacks, she uses a segment of the Resonance Gauge, which is gained from either her Intro Skill or the shields from her Resonance Skill. By spending a segment, she deals increased damage when parrying or using her Intro Skill.
Active abilities
Basic and Heavy Attack, Air Attack, Counter [Concealed Edge]
- Basic Attack - Performs up to 4 consecutive attacks, dealing damage to Havok.
- Heavy Attack - Taoqi consumes stamina and enters Rocksteady Defense. In this state, she reduces damage taken by 35%. If Taoqi is hit, she will perform Strategic Parry. If she is not hit, Strategic Parry will activate automatically after 3 seconds.
- Mid-air Attack - Taoqi spends his stamina to perform a falling attack, dealing damage to Havok.
- Counterattack [Dodge Counter] - Using a basic attack after successfully parrying and dodging will cause a counterattack with increased Havok damage.
Forte Circuit: Power Shift
In the Resonance Scale, Taoqi can accumulate three segments of Resolving Caliber. They can be accumulated in the following ways:
- The easiest and fastest way is to use Intro Skill: Defense Formation. When Taoqi enters the battlefield, she automatically fills 3 segments of her Gauge.
- If you haven't used up all of Rocksteady's shields from the Resonance Skill, Taoqi's 4th basic attack will destroy them and fill up some portion of the gauge (1 shield left - fills up 1 segment, 2 left - fills up 2, etc.).
- The gauge also fills up when enemies destroy Rocksteady's shields. 1 destroyed shield - 1 segment.
When the Gauge is completely filled, after a heavy attack or Intro skill, you need to use a basic attack. For each such attack, Taoqi spends 1 Resolving Gauge and applies a shield that will become stronger with each hit.
After activating Rocksteady's defense or activating the Resonance Skill, you cannot dash, fall, or jump: any of these actions will interrupt the combo and the Resonance Gauge will stop being spent. Therefore, you must first spend the segments, and only then move.
Resonance Skill: Fortified Defense - Taoqi deals damage to surrounding enemies based on her defense stat, restores her HP, and generates 3 Rocksteady Shields. If Taoqi is attacked while this skill is active, Strategic Parry will be triggered automatically. When the active character with these shields is attacked, 1 shield is consumed and reduces damage dealt by 15%. The shields can last for a total of 18 seconds without taking damage.
Resonance Liberation: Unmovable - Taoqi delivers a powerful Havok attack, the damage of which depends on her defense stat.
ive skills
Inherent Skill 1 [Inherent Skill: Steadfast Protection] - under the effect of Rocksteady's shield, the active character's defense increases by 15%.
Inherent Skill: Unyielding 2 - After a successful Strategic Parry, Taoqi restores 25 units of stamina.
Switching skills
Intro Skill: Defense Formation - Taoqi attacks the target, dealing damage to Havok and instantly filling the Resonance Gauge with 3 Resolving Gauges.
Outro Skill: Iron Will - For 14 seconds, Taoqi increases the damage of the next character's Resonance Skill by 38%.
Resonance circuit (consts)
Essence of Tranquility | The strength of the shield granted by the Resonance Scale is increased by 40%. |
Hidden Strength | Resonant Release: Unwavering critical damage and critical hit chance increased by 20% |
Keen-eyed Observer | The duration of Rocksteady's shields granted by Resonance Skill: Fortified Defense has been increased to 30 seconds. |
Heavylifting Duty | If Taoqi successfully performs Strategic Parry, she will recover 25% HP and increase her defense by 50% for 5 seconds. The effect can occur once every 15 seconds. |
Benevolent Guardian | Resonance Scale damage: βPower Shiftβ is increased by 50%. When the skill hits a target, 20 units of resonance energy are restored. |
Defender of Peach | Basic and Charged Attack damage is increased by 40% while Rocksteady's shield is active. |
The first three consts on Taoqi are equally good, they increase both the personal damage of the two-handed sword and the survivability of the team, but the best of all is shown by fifth - It improves Taoqi's gameplay and helps her restore her own Resonant Energy whenever Resonance Scale damage hits an enemy.
Advantages and disadvantages
Like any character, Taoqi has his pros and cons.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
Can quickly create shields for the entire team at no additional cost, and also gives a huge boost to the next character's Resonance Skill damage thanks to his Outro skill. | Filling the Concerto meter takes more time on the battlefield compared to most other or hybrid role characters. |
Has the ability to completely absorb or soften strong blows by parrying. | Taoqi is currently the second character in the game with the lowest base attack (first place is Baiji), which is very critical for a character who potentially claims the role of a damage dealer. |
Has a simple and good set of abilities that help beginners in learning the combat system. | Vulnerable to interruption by the slowest attacks in the game and can reset the Resonance Gauge segments with any movement such as jumping, dashing, etc. |
Her Resonance Chains aren't that great, especially compared to the consts of other alternatives. Only Chains 1 and 3 are effective for a role, the rest of the consts are aimed at increasing Taoqi's personal damage and survivability. Other characters with similar plans have S6 that gives a 20-25% ATK buff to the entire team. Her sixth chain buffs Taoqi's normal and charged attacks, but even with this buff, the damage from them is mediocre at best, since almost all of Taoqi's skills rely on defense. | |
Limited number of characters Taoqi could synergize with. |
Skill Improvement Order
Looking at Taoqi's guide in more detail, it is worth studying the order of pumping her main abilities separately. Here will be two options for pumping: for a hero and a sub-DD.
Taoqi
Resonance Bar > Resonance Release > Resonance Skill > Intro Skill = Basic Attack
- Resonance Meter [Forte Circuit: Power Shift] - Taoqi's top priority is to provide strong shields for her team, and this can be achieved by keeping her Resonance Meter maxed out, which is essential to her tanky playstyle.
- Resonance Liberation: Unmovable - Upgrading Taoqi's ultimate increases her damage output. This is her primary source of damage.
- Resonance Skill: Fortified Defense - Resonance Skill is worth upgrading to improve the healing it provides and increase the heroine's survivability.
You can skip basic attacks and the Intro skill, or upgrade them when you have additional resources. Basic attacks are extremely slow and play almost no role in Taoqi's skill set, and upgrading the Intro skill does nothing but slightly increase damage.
Taoqi sub-DD
Resonance Release > Resonance Gauge > Resonance Skill > Intro Skill = Basic Attack
The bulk of Taoqi's damage comes from her Resonance Gauge, Resonance Skill, and Resonant Release, which are all based on her Defense stat. Basic/Heavy Attacks and Intro Skill are still not used, as they are based on Attack Power, not Defense, and will deal significantly less damage.

Best Taoqi Build in Wuthering Waves
Recommended value of characteristics
- HP: 13000+
- Defense: 1800+
- Energy recovery: 130-160%
Taoqi's VE depends on how long you plan to keep her on the battlefield. If you plan to rely mostly on her Resonance Skill for energy while ignoring her other abilities, it is recommended to use a higher VE level than recommended.
If you plan to use the rest of Taoqi's abilities and Resonance Scale combos, you may need less energy. Aim for Taoqi's energy recovery to be 130-160% or higher.
Weapon Selection
It all comes down to how you want to use Taoqi - as a or as a DD/hybrid.
assembly
If you want your Taoci to work as a that focuses on buffing the main damage dealer with Moonlit Clouds or Rejuvenating Glow and spends as little time on the battlefield as possible, then Discord is the best choice for her, as it allows for maximum team optimization, albeit at the expense of Taoci's personal damage (albeit rather mediocre).
Additionally, it greatly increases Taoqi's energy regeneration, eliminating the need to search for it from other sources (such as Echo) and potentially allowing her to close the gap between other alternatives with other attack bonuses.
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
ββββ Basic attack: 27-337 Energy recovery: 11,52-51,84% |
Restores 8-16 units of Concert Energy after using the Resonance skill. The effect occurs once every 20 seconds. | A broad blade designed to speed up character rotation by generating additional concert and resonance energy. Potentially reduces the downtime of the team's primary damage dealer. |
An alternative to Discord is Beguiling Melody. At rank 5, it is a 3-star alternative to Discord, albeit with an ATK bonus instead of HE. While it limits Taoqi's presence on the battlefield, its maximum utility is lower than Discord's.
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
βββ Basic attack: 24-300 ATK: 6,8-30,4% |
Restores 4-8 units of Concert Energy after using Intro and Outro skills. | A broad blade that offers a boost to character rotation by generating resonant energy. A more accessible version of Discord, slightly increasing Taoqi's personal damage but significantly reducing his damage cap. 5th Awakening is required to replace Discord. |
βββ Basic attack: 24-300 Energy recovery: 7,2-32,4% |
Restores 8-12 units of Concert Energy after using the Resonance skill. The effect occurs once every 20 seconds. | An easily accessible option that can replenish the deficit of Resonant Energy every 20 seconds. Only useful early in the game when there are no other sources for energy restoration and should be replaced first. |
Assembly sub-dd
If Taoqi is a sub-DD/hybrid, her main damage comes from Resonance Gauge, Resonance Skill, and Resonant Release, which scale with her defense stat, meaning that Taoqi only resorts to attack power when she has an Intro Skill, normal/heavy attacks, and potentially has Echo active.
Since most broadswords are aimed at increasing the ATK of the wielder, and Taoqi's base ATK is the second lowest in the game (after Baiji), this creates a counter-synergy with the overwhelming weapon type, but there are still options, and not the most obvious ones.
Name | Description | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
βββββ Basic attack: 47-587 Critical chance: 5.4-24.3% |
Grants a 12%-24% bonus to all elemental damage. For each basic attack, grants 1 Blessing of the Ages, stacking up to 4 times and disappearing upon leaving combat. Upon accumulating 4 or more stacks, the wielder of the weapon absorbs them and increases the damage of the Resonance skill by 48%-96% for 2.5 sec. The effect occurs once every 6 sec. | The best offensive option for Taoqi, even though she is unable to fully utilize the active effect it provides. |
βββββ Basic attack: 47-588 Crete. damage: 10.8-48.6% |
Increases damage of all Resonance properties by 12-24%. Activating the Intro Skill or Resonant Release increases Heavy Attack damage by 24-48%. The effect stacks up to 2 times and lasts for 14 seconds. | A great choice in of pure damage thanks to the extra critical stats. |
ββββ Basic attack: 27-337 Defense: 13,7-61,6% |
When the Intro skill is activated, attack power increases by 8-16% and defense by 15-30%. The bonus lasts for 15 seconds. | The best budget option for Taoqi if you don't have a five-star blade or Discord. Increases Taoqi's defense by a huge percentage and can be its only source. |
autumntrace |
When a Basic Attack or Heavy Attack deals damage, Attack Power is increased by 4-12,8%. The effect stacks up to 5 times, lasts for 7 seconds, and can only occur once per 1 second. | Weapons from the Battle . For most players, Autumn Trail β A good replacement for a 5-star blade, although in Taoqi's case it doesn't directly increase her damage, it just allows her to crit more often. |
βββ Basic attack: 24-300 Defense: 8,6-38,5% |
When Resonance Skill is activated, it restores 3-6% of the Resonator's maximum health. The effect can occur once every 12 seconds. | If none of the above weapons are available, the Orignite: Type I is a surprisingly reliable (and cheap!) alternative because its second stat is Defense. This allows it to slightly outperform higher-quality options like the Helios Cleaver and even the Lustrous Razor in of damage output. |
ββββ Basic attack: 33-413 Attack Power: 6.8-30.4 |
For 12 seconds after activating the Resonance skill, attack power increases by 3-6% every 2 seconds. The effect stacks up to 4 times. Once the number of stacks reaches 12, they reset within 1 second. | A generalist attack power blade that will give Taoqi a bit more ATK than other alternatives once stacks start to build. Unfortunately, Taoqi's attack power doesn't do much. |
βββββ Basic attack: 47-588 Attack Power: 8.1-36.4% |
Energy recovery increases by 12.8-25.6%. Activating the Resonance skill increases the damage of Resonant Release by 7-14%. The effect stacks up to 3 times and lasts for 12 seconds. | A really good and versatile 5-star greatsword that in Taoqi's case performs mediocrely due to her stats. |
βββ Basic attack: 26-325 Attack Power: 5.4-24.3% |
Increases damage from Basic and Heavy Attacks by 12-24%. | Although it's not explicitly stated in-game, the momentum released from a successful parry counts as basic attack damage. This is why normally mediocre blades like Guardian Broadblade suddenly become very competitive for Taoqi due to their ive effects that don't affect her stats but increase her normal/heavy attack damage. |
βββ Basic attack: 26-325 Attack Power: 5.4-24.3 |
After activating the Intro skill, attack power increases by 8-16% for 10 seconds. | A fairly strong 3-star broadsword that provides an ATK buff, which is not the best choice for a character whose abilities depend on defense. |
ββββ Basic attack: 33-413 Energy recovery: 7.2-32.4% |
When the wearer's HP is above 80%, their attack power increases by 12%. In turn, if HP is below 40-80%, basic and/or heavy attack hits restore 5-10% HP. The effect occurs no more than once every 1 seconds. | Same as Broadblade of Night. Can be a temporary solution, but should be replaced when better alternatives are acquired. |
Echo's Choice
If Taoqi is playing as a /sub-DD, then the best options for her will be the Moonlit Clouds and Rejuvenating Glow sonatas. They are equally good, the only thing is that for Rejuvenating Glow you will have to look for VE in the substats to match the energy regeneration rate.
Echo Set (set) | Main Echo for dialing | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
2 parts: Energy recovery rate increases by 10%. 5 parts: Using the Outro skill increases the attack power of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15 seconds. |
Effect: Transforms into a creature and flies up, diving down and dealing 223.22% Havok damage. Holding the skill allows you to remain in the creature form for a longer time and attack with flames, dealing 40.05% Havok damage per attack. The very first attack that hits enemies restores 10 units of character energy. If the hero uses the Outro skill within the next 15 sec, the damage of the next resonator will be increased by 12% for 15 sec. Cooldown - 20 sec. |
A perfect choice for Taoqi's sub-DD. While Echo won't buff Taoqi herself, it will double the effect of Moonlit Clouds Sonata, increasing the ATK of the next character. |
2 parts: Healing bonus increased by 10%. 5 parts: After healing an ally(s), all squad gain 15% attack power for 30 seconds. 2 parts: Energy recovery rate increases by 10%. 5 parts: Using the Outro skill increases the attack power of the next resonator by 22.5% for 15 seconds. |
Effect: Using Echo in combat activates special protection and also deals area damage to Glacio, depending on 91.20-145.92% of the creature's carrier's defense. The main bonus is an additional protective effect that reduces incoming damage for 15 seconds due to the aforementioned protection, and also increases all outgoing damage by 10%. This bonus affects the entire squad. The recovery time of the Echo skill, in turn, is 20 seconds. |
A universal Echo that increases all damage dealt by the team by 10% and reduces damage taken by 50% for 15 seconds or until it takes 3 hits. The shield does not stack if used by multiple characters in a row. |
Effect: When long pressed, transforms into a creature, dashing forward and dealing 80,96-112,64% physical damage on impact. If the dash did not hit anything or a quick press occurred, the creature slams the ground, dealing 121,44-168,96% physical damage and granting a shield equal to 10% of the active resonator's maximum health. Cooldown β 15 seconds. |
A good option for newbies who don't have access to weekly bosses yet. Gives an additional shield. |
If you want to increase Taoqi's personal damage, the best solution would be the five parts of the sonata. Sun-sinking Eclipse and Echo DreamlessWhile you are putting together the necessary sonata, you can try solyanka 2 + 2 of Sun-sinking Eclipse ΠΈ Lingering Tunes, however, this option has a significant decrease in damage and is considered temporary, so it is advisable to replace it as soon as possible. It is not recommended to collect the full set of Lingering Tunes - it's even worse in damage than a hodgepodge of two sets, and increasing ATK will have little effect on Taoqi's overall damage.
Echo Set (set) | Main Echo for dialing | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
2 parts: Havok damage increases by 10% 5 parts: Using a basic or heavy attack increases the Havok damage bonus by 7,5%. Stacks up to 4 times, lasts 15 seconds. |
Effect: Resonator transforms into a creature and attacks enemy targets with Havok's element 6 times. Each of the first 5 hits deals 33,80-54,08% damage, and the final attack deals 169-270,40%. Echo deals 50% more damage for 5 seconds after Havok Rover uses Resonant Release. Cooldown β 20 seconds |
A perfect choice for Taoqi given her individual damage output. While Echo doesn't provide any buff when used, it makes up for it with a quick AoE burst that's theoretically enough to immediately clear out smaller enemies near the main target. |
Recommended stats to look for in Echo's core stats:
4 cost | Defense%/Critical Damage/Critical Hit Chance |
3 cost | Bonus Havok Damage |
3 cost | Bonus Havok Damage |
1 cost | Protection% |
1 cost | Protection% |
Unlike the vast majority of characters, Taoqi prefers to put defense rather than attack power on 1-Cost: this is due to the scaling of her skills from defense, including damage. If you are using Taoqi as a pure , it is better to prioritize defense on 4-Cost rather than critical damage or critical chance, to improve the durability of the shields she provides.
Secondary stats that you need to unlock in Echo to get the most benefit (from most to least important):
- Energy recovery (at least 35%)
- Critical Damage/Critical Hit Chance
- Protection in %
- Attack power, both in % and without
- Res. Liberation DMG Bonus
- Res. Skill DMG
- Basic/Heavy Attack Damage
Units for Taoqi
Let's look at the most powerful allies and teams for Taoqi.
Best characters
Let's look at heroes that go well with Taoqi:
Character | Element and class | Features |
---|---|---|
Verina, being a universally strong , synergizes well with all main and secondary DDs, and Taoqi is no exception. | ||
Danjin is in an interesting synergistic position with Taoqi, as they can both buff each other. While Taoqi increases Danjin's Resonance Skill damage, Danjin can increase Taoqi's Havoc damage. | ||
Since Chisei's damage is mostly dependent on her Resonance Gauge, which is considered Resonance Skill damage, Taoqi can use her Outro Skill to increase Chisei's damage. | ||
What may not be clear from the game description is that all three of Sanhua's ice spikes deal damage when they explode, which is considered Resonance Skill damage. Taoqi can further increase Sanhua's potential damage through her Outro Skill. In turn, Sanhua can significantly increase Taoqi's damage from Parry Pulses, which is considered Basic Attack damage. | ||
In a team with Chang Li as the main DPS, Taoqi can be a cheaper alternative to Zhezhi or Yin Ling, buffing Chang Li's Resonance Skill damage. | ||
The Guardian of the Shores is incredibly versatile due to her versatile buffs: bonus ATK, increased critical damage, critical hit chance, knockdown protection, and lethal damage. This makes her a great in most main/sub DD teams. | ||
Since Jinxi's damage comes mostly from Resonance Skill, she values ββTaoqi's Outro Skill buff highly. |
Top Teams
Commands for Taoqi may change depending on the role the girl occupies in the squad.
Taoqi sub-DD
Main-dd | Sub-dd | /sub-dd | Features |
---|---|---|---|
Taoqi's outro skill is very useful for Jinxi, as most of her damage comes from Resonance Skill. Taoqi will also be able to provide shields to the entire team as an additional safety measure. Guardian of the Shores will buff the first two Resonators and help with gaining stacks of Incantation, dealing Specter damage from the pocket while Jinxi is on the field. Verina can be used as a more accessible alternative. | |||
Main DD of the team β Chang Li. Main goal β Use her Ultimate as often as possible, as it instantly fills the Resonance Gauge to 4 segments, allowing her to immediately unleash a powerful Heavy Attack. Taoqi will buff Chan Li's Resonance Skill Outro damage and provide her teammates with shields. Guardian of the Shores' healing will increase the team's survivability, and her Ultimate will greatly increase Chan Li's damage. | |||
A team with a hyper-carry Jiyan in case Yang Yang or Aalto are deployed on another team. Taoqi is a tank and shielder who can soak up βdangerousβ damage and buff the general with his Outro skill, as well as deal decent damage when parried. Guardian of the Shores/Verina heals and floods ATK. Baiji can be used as a free alternative. | |||
Main DD β Danjin. Taoqi will buff her with her Outro skill and do good damage herself, as well as provide the team with shields, which is very important for a character like Danjin, who is played from the mechanics of spending HP. Guardian of the Coast/Verina will fill ATK, heal and, if necessary, will be ready to provide emergency healing if Taoqi's shields fail or Danjin does not have time to heal. Also, Chixia will perfectly take Danjin's place, whose damage is also mostly considered to be damage from the Resonance Skill. | |||
F2P team. Rover β main DD, Taoqi β Sub-DD that provides protection and increases the damage of the Resonance Skill. Baiji heals and increases the overall damage of the team. |
Taoqi
Main-dd | Sub-dd | /Sub-dd | Recommendation |
---|---|---|---|
Since Ling Yang has a hard time implementing the Taoqi skill's Outro buff, a sub-DD with decent Resonance skill damage is needed in the second slot. | |||
The team where Yin Lin is β main damage dealer and buffer at the same time. Yanwu/Mortephy will perform coordinated attacks with Yinling, and she will be able to buff the men. Taoqi provides the team with shields and buffs the damage of the teammate's Resonance Skill with the Outro skill. | |||
Taoqi mainly provides shields to the team and is a pure , while the main buffer and sub-DD is Zhezhi. She also increases the damage of Resonance Skill, and her coordinated attacks help in pumping energy to the main DD. | |||
Main DD β Calcharo, and at the moment the best buffer for him is Yin Ling. But if there is no girl, from the free alternatives you can put Spectro GG or Yang Yang. In a team, they will demonstrate the same efficiency, being aimed at mass damage and interrupting monster attacks. The third slot goes to the shielder Taoqi. | |||
A similar team from the block above, but this time without a healer. Taoqi takes on the role of defender, being fully responsible for the team's survivability. Mortephy buffs Danjin's heavy attacks, and Taoqi buffs Mortephy so that he can deal damage with more than just his ultimate. |
Taoqi: Rotation
The heroine's rotation depends on the role she occupies in the squad.
Sub-DD Taoqi
The rotation for Taoqi sub-DD is focused on filling up her Concerto energy bar as quickly as possible while making the most of her abilities. Note that it is extremely important to hit the enemy with every attack, as missing even one hit will force you to extend your rotation with additional basic attacks to compensate for the loss of Concerto energy.
- Intro skill
- Basic Attack 1-3
- Heavy attack
- Resonance Skill: βFortified Defenseβ
- Resonant release
- Basic Attack 1-4
- Heavy attack
- Echo (used to cancel cooldown after heavy attack)
- Outro skill
It's important: When using R0 Discord or R5 Beguiling Melody, both Heavy Attacks in the sequence can be skipped. Additionally, at rank 4, Discord will allow the XNUMXth Basic Attack to be skipped as well.
Taoqi in the revolver team
If for some reason you don't need Taoqi's Outro skill or you're playing a revolver pack, the girl can use a shorter rotation to limit her presence on the battlefield as much as possible. In all other cases, it's better to use her attack sequence as a sub-DD.
- Intro Skill OR Strategic Parry
- Basic Attack 1-3
- Resonant Release OR Basic Attack 1
- Resonance Skill: βFortified Defenseβ
- Echo
- Switch to another character
Π‘onclusion
Unfortunately, Taoqi has a lot of issues, the main ones being slow gameplay that takes longer to complete than the alternatives, long energy buildup, vulnerability to interrupts, and most importantly, a very limited number of characters that Taoqi can synergize with. On top of that, her shields don't completely negate all damage, but simply reduce it by a certain percentage, which can be a serious problem in endgame content like the Tower of Tribulations where the enemies are tougher.
Taoqi is easier to build and won't take up much time on the battlefield, but she won't be able to use her Outro skill very often. Hybrid build is harder, but it will provide the team with constant shields and a bonus from her Outro skill, but neither the first nor the second build is very popular anyway. However, calling her "useless" and "hopeless" would be an exaggeration - Taoqi's kit is strong enough to find its niche, and as new characters appear, the heroine will play in new colors.
We hope this guide helped you put together the best Taoci build in Wowering Waves. Read on for a detailed Wuthering Waves section.
