Scarab in Genshin Impact: where to find and buy in the Sumeru Desert

Recommended characters to collect

Scarab cooldown

Scarab Cooldown - 48 hours. The timer is not synchronized with the general update of the world, i.e. brown bugs appear in exactly 2 days since collection. Where to find the Scarab in Genshin Impact on the map

Scarabs can only be found in Sumeru, they are not found in other regions. The bugs are found in the desert part of the kingdom. They live mostly in ruins. It is difficult to notice them, including because of the brown color merging with the surroundings, so it is better to use ready-made Scarab farming routes on the map.

Land of Upper Setekh

The route in this area is divided into three large areas with a small number of scarabs.

Aaru village

The first beetle of the route rolls balls right on the road on the way to the village from the Caravan Ribat, you can meet him under a natural arch.

On the rock next to the village, there are also several places with beetles. It is easier to start collecting them from the top, so as not to climb the rocks, but the author rose from the very bottom.

Near the more northern point of the teleport, they will immediately show up two individuals.

Then follow the route to find the remaining beetles here. One will meet on the rocks on the way to the top.

The last pair of scarabs here can be found under the natural arch next to the teleport point. You don't need to climb the rock.

Dar al-Shifa

Go to the abandoned settlement to the very mark of the Dendroculus. Jump in a crack in the ground and use a falling attack or Zhongli's elemental skill to break the rocks. This will open an underground cavern, which will contain two scarabs when exploring.

The next scarab on the route will be in underground ruins, the entrance to which starts from the teleport in the Abju Pit.

Nearby, on a lower tier, there is another one. Get down on the elevator, above which the Dendroculus hovers, and run along the corridors to the south.

South of the statue of the Archon, which is west of the two villages, you can find a lone scarab next to a pile of sand.

Run to the teleport, standing not far from the road crossing the desert. Chitin Workaholic on the dunes on the way to it.

Eye of the Sands

The northernmost part of the desert can also share scarabs. If you run to this area along the road leading north, then the first two bugs on the rock will meet.

Two more bugs roll balls at the very entrance to the abandoned sanctuary. Most likely, they will be on the dunes next to the stone platform.

Land of Upper Setekh

The path is quite long and runs along both sides of the canyon - the Dahri Valley. The route starts from the teleport point north of Sobek's Oasis.

Oasis of Sobek

The first of the horned representatives of the fauna is in the sands next to the trail.

A little further south, a nearby bush will have another beetle.

Next, climb the rock to the east as shown on the route and follow the next beetle. He is in next to the road, lying near a cliff with a teleporter.

Next exit at the top of the arch, which will be a whole string of scarabs. Along the way, you will most likely have to fight with a group of Hermits.

The next one on the route is on the road. You can get to it from the teleport point.

Dahri Valley

Another scarab sits serenely on the road near the sanctuary.

A lone specimen labors near the statue of the Archon in Upper Setekh Land.

There are a couple more on the rocks in Dahri Valley, but be careful - the Ruin Golem is aggressive and will attack a character trying to pick up bugs.

After that, head to the south of the location. Between the rock and the teleport, a lone scarab guards Fatui Camp.

The next one is on a small ledge that can be climbed with four leaf symbol. The path to it will be shown by a fairy hovering nearby.

On a large stone nearby, another scarab rolls a ball.

On the dune nearby, his relative is doing the same.

After collecting curiosities in this area, follow the route towards the Dune of Subterfuge. To speed up, you can use the teleport nearby. Near a cactus, a dendroculus and a large accumulation of iron nuggets, a lone scarab lives.

Dune Tricks

Run along the road towards the pyramid. Meet along the way Treasure Thieves Camp, next to which a four-leafed symbol is visible. As soon as the character enters the area of ​​effect of this mechanic, the desired curiosity will appear in the field of view.

The next one can be found on the dunes near the entrance. The monsters are not yet aggressive, but already dangerously close.

And the last one in this area will be completely next to the pyramid: Go to the south wall.

After that, return to Sobek's Oasis to pick up the bug that is in the sands on the way to the huge pyramid. It will start the last part of the journey.

Desert Colonnade

The last and richest area in scarabs. We divide it into two halves - northern and southern: the borders are drawn according to the tomb of King Deshret.

Tomb: south side

The path starts from the circled beetle - it was the last one collected in the Northern Setekh Land area. Teleport to Hemenu underground temple and go to the scarab closest on the map, go down to the lower floors, moving along the path to the south.

The first crawls on the edge of the abyss.

The second one is in the same room, but in a diagonally opposite corner.

The third is outside the gates of this hall - just climb the stairs.

The fourth scarab of the area is in the same hall as the previous one, just move south with four leaf symbols.

Magma Dune

Move to the teleporter north of Magma Dune, turn around and glide across the gap to see a beetle near the hourglass.

Return to the teleporter and go the other way. beetle sitting near the star mushroom.

Next, go to the southern border of the map, where you can see ruin mark. Go around it to find a beetle.

Near the Dune of Magma there is another ruin, captured by the Hermits. At the entrance they will have the right beetle.

For the way to the north, it is better to use the four-leafed symbols stretching along the dunes. They will allow you to quickly get to the next sand-covered fort, on the roof which the scarab crawls.

Nearby, on a sandy hill (with a view of a whole group of automatons), a living curiosity roams.

Another fearless scarab lies on the other side of this cemetery of mechanisms.

Three beetles at the western wall of the tomb are in underground galleries.

Move to the teleport at the southwestern corner of the pyramid and follow the four-leaf symbols to the top. There will be three individuals of scarabs on the cliff.

Tomb: north side

One lone individual can be found not far from the previous cluster of insects, for this, climb the stairs and run to the end of the hall.

There are a lot of individuals in the cave captured by Fatui. If the gate is open, immediately teleport there. First will be in the destroyed room; second - in the opposite direction, near the stairs; behind the third you have to run straight to the east.

Large group of scarabs in a cave west of the mausoleum. Move to the teleport at the southwest corner of the tomb and run through the tunnel to the north. Two more beetles will be on the opposite side on the hill.

Near the northern wall of the tomb, only two beetles can be found on the surface. The rest will be in the underground part.

A couple more bugs can be found further along the route, but there is only one on the surface. We capture it.

If you go west on the slope of the dune there is another beetle not marked on the map.

Move to the teleport that opens in the ruins north of the Tomb of the Scarlet King, and run south. First the beetle is near the stairs; second - a little higher, to the left of the barrels; third - in the corner at the right side of the stairs; fourth - at the foot of the statue on the left; fifth you need to look for a cave on the lower tier, near the statue of a jackal. To take sixth, go up the stairs next to the fifth scarab in the area and break the vase.

Two beetles are in captivity of the hilichurls, in a cave, which can be accessed from the entrance to the Altar of Mirages dungeon.

Dune of Feast

There are two scarabs in Dune. Both are on the top tier, which you can climb with air flow opposite the entrance to the location.

The last place to collect is the surroundings of the dungeon Garden of Endless Columns. Five scarabs live here: two of them are on a stone ledge with a four-leaf symbol, one behind the entrance to the dungeon, one at the foot of the stone and another at a short distance.

Where to buy Scarab

You can't buy Scarabs at the moment. No in-game merchant sells desert bugs.

How to get the Scarab for free

You can get scarabs for free from boy Nawaz. He spawns during the day (06:00 to 18:00) in Aaru village near the monument. Talk to him to tell him about his thoughts about King Deshret and give him 4 bugs.

What is the scarab for?
