How to get to Blue Moon
The secret boss Blue Moon is frozen in the role of a stone statue on the edge of a cliff; in order to find and revive him, you will have to meet a number of requirements:
- pick up a key item Scales moon;
- start playing through the 3rd story chapter “White Snow, Severe Frost”;
- gain access to the Bitter Lake location.
If the above conditions are met, you will be able to plot a route to Blue Moon from the nearest fast travel point.
Incense Altar: Bitter Lake -> Turtle Island.
From the altar, turn towards the slope where there is a large dry tree with wide branches. Take this point as a reference point, move forward until you step onto a steep slope. If you followed the right path, you will notice a lonely figure of a motionless creature below.
Carefully descend to the flat area: the Blue Moon statue will come to life as soon as you approach it, provided that the Chosen One has the "Moon Scales" in his inventory.
How to Beat Blue Moon in Black Myth: Wukong
Defeating Blue Moon on the first try will not be easy: in rotation, the king of the yaoguai uses many dangerous techniques, which he successfully implements throughout the two phases of the battle. Next, we will analyze the main abilities of the boss and describe the most effective combat tactics - this will simplify the battle with the dragon, as well as reduce the number of accidental deaths.
Boss attacks
In battle, Blue Moon relies on his speed, huge sword and lightning power. Let's look at what skills the Yaoguai king uses during first phase battles:
- Strike from the sky: the dragon rises into the air, flies over the arena towards its victim and tries to hit it with its sword. You can run away from the flying boss or roll away from the coming blow.
- Spin Attack: the skill is similar to the previous one, only during this Blue Moon spins around its axis in the air, diving towards the target. You should dodge at the moment of approaching the monster.
- Simple sword strike: At close range, the enemy makes a sideways swing with his weapon. Roll behind the enemy, thus finding yourself in a safe zone.
- Electric field: the monster imbues his sword with lightning power, then plunges it into the ground, creating an electric puddle. The animation is very long, so you'll have time to run away.
- electric shock: An attack similar to the previous one, where a sword was used, but this time the enemy's weapon is charged with lightning. Try to dodge to the side as soon as you recognize this skill. The boss moves in a linear trajectory, therefore, dodging forward or backward can significantly reduce the HP bar.
- shock discharge: The monster concentrates the power of lightning in its hand, after which it throws an electric discharge onto the ground in front of itself. The animation of the charge accumulation is very easy to recognize, during its action it is recommended to dodge to the side or back to increase the distance with the enemy.
In second phase Blue Moon releases several shock discharges after swinging his hand, and two new skills appear in the boss's arsenal:
- Tail strike: if the victim is behind the monster will hit them with its tail. As soon as you notice the tail rising high, dodge back or to the side.
- Charged Sword Strike: A combo attack that consists of a series of sword and electricity strikes. The skill has a large area of effect, so try to run as far away as possible.
Learn to recognize the animations that precede the use of combat skills to anticipate the dragon's rotation and plan an effective tactical move in advance.
Battle tactics
In order to kill Blue Moon and not die yourself, take into all the strengths of the boss and think through the tactics of the battle in advance. Let's look at the main tips for the battle with this king of the yaoguai:
- Immobilization will make the battle much easier - use it right at the beginning of the battle, and then repeat the spell at convenient moments when the monster is on the ground.
- Blue Moon is a fast monster, but its attacks have very long animations, so use any opportunity to get behind it and deal a series of blows.
- There will be a lot of electrical damage in this fight, so make sure you have a Shock Resistance potion or armor with the appropriate bonuses.
- Sometimes the boss will take a short break to fly up or charge his sword - use this breathing space to your advantage to reposition or heal.
- The arena is a small stone platform on the edge of a cliff, so in such a close fight it is important to always keep the boundaries of the battlefield in mind, so as not to accidentally trap yourself or fall into the abyss from a powerful missed attack that knocks you back.
- Try to avoid the spell that summons clones. Although this magic can cause quite a lot of damage to the enemy in special moments, due to the sweeping blows coming from the enemy, the minions can quickly die, without having time to fully realize their overall potential.
Don't rush to fight Blue Moon - first destroy other available bosses, upgrade your gear and open new spells for the Chosen One, otherwise you will enter the battle with a minimal advantage. If the above recommendations are not enough, then complete the main story of Chapter 4, and then return to Blue Dragon to take revenge.
