History (biography)

Sethos in Genshin Impact is one of the followers of the Temple of Silence, an ancient organization hidden in the Sumeru Desert that holds the knowledge left over from the civilization of King Deshret. In his distant childhood, he, along with another child, who was Saino, was chosen as vessels for the power of the great Hermanubis, the pillar of Deshret and the priest, which was inside the Shards of Ba. The fragments successfully resonated with both children, so each of them received their own fragment of the priest's power.

However, Cyrus, a professor at the Academy who was acting together with Bamun, the head of the Temple of Silence, decided to stop the experiment and took Saino with him. Sethos remained in the Temple and was raised according to all their traditions. Subsequently, during a ritual battle, Sethos lost his Ba Shard, but was still able to replace Bamun and become the new head.

Abilities

Sethos is the main damage dealer who plays off charged attacks. He uses the Electro element and elemental mastery as his main stat, which scales most of his damage. His charged attacks have two charge levels, the second of which deals more damage and also pierces through enemies. Elemental Burst puts Sethos into a special stance where all of his normal hits are infused and count as charged attacks. An elemental skill deals Electro damage and additionally restores some energy if a reaction was caused with its help.

Let's take a closer look at all the active and ive skills of Sethos and tell you in what order you need to upgrade them. Let's also pay attention to the hero's constellations in order to highlight the most important of them.

Basic skills (active skills)

 • Royal Shooting Mastery (Normal, Charged, Drop Attack)

Normal attack: three quick strikes from a bow.

Charged Attack: makes a targeted shot, charging the arrow with an Electro element. There are two charge levels in total, which depend on the duration of the attack.

 • Charge Level 1: Concentrates Electro into an arrow and fires it at enemies.
 • Charge Level 2: Fires a Shadow Piercing Shot that inflicts Electro on all enemies in its path. While fully charged, Sethos cannot move and stands still.

Plunging Attack: falls to the ground and hits the area, creating a hail of arrows.

 • Ancient Rite: Thunderous Roar of Sand (Elemental Skill)

Energy recovery: 12 units.

Cooldown time: 8 sec.

Attacks with an Electro element in an area and quickly jumps back. If this ability causes a Charged, Superconducting, Overload, Stimulate, Aggravate, Vegetation, or Electro Dispersal reaction, Sethos restores some of the energy.

 • Arcane Ritual: Twilight Shadow Piercer (Elemental Burst)

Dark Meditation duration: 8 sec.

Cooldown time: 15 sec.

Energy consumption: 60.

Enters a state of Twilight Meditation, during which Sethos' normal attacks become Twilight Bolts.

Dusk Bolts:

 • Deals damage based on elemental mastery to all enemies in its path.
 • Counts as damage from charged attacks.

The effect disappears if the character leaves the battlefield.

The order of leveling talents

Elemental Burst (Q) ≥ Normal Attacks > Elemental Skill (E).

 1. The basis of Sethos' damage is his charged attacks from his ult and hand. Elemental Explosion should be upgraded first to the maximum level. Along with it, you should raise the level of attacks from your hand.
 2. The elemental skill, unlike other abilities, scales with attack power and is only needed to pump up energy. You don’t have to upgrade it, or you can do it depending on the availability of resources and desire.

ive skills

Sethos ive Abilities:

Talent What gives
Revelation of Thoth Marks Sumeru curiosities on the mini-map.
The mystery of the black kite

Charge duration while aiming is reduced by 0.258 sec. for each unit of current Sethos energy. The charge duration can be reduced to 0.3 seconds in this way, and up to 20 units are counted. energy.

Shadow Piercing Shot (charge level 2) consumes a credited amount of energy, while a charge 1 shot spends 50% of the energy count.

Grace of the King of the Sands Sethos gains the Shadow of the Scorching Sands effect: the damage of Shadow Piercing Shots is increased by 700% of Elemental Mastery. This effect disappears under the following conditions:

 • 5 seconds after Shadow Piercing Shot first hits an enemy.
 • After 4 Shadow Piercing Shots hit the enemy.

After 15 sec. After Shadow Piercing Shot hits an enemy for the first time during Shadow of the Scorching Sands, Sethos will once again gain the effect of Shadow of the Scorching Sands.

Constellations

Below are all the constellations of Sethos:

Name Materials
Chants of the Sealed Shrine Crit chance hits from a Shadow Piercing Shot (2nd level of hold attack charge) are increased by 15%.
Papyrus of Silent Secrets By fulfilling any of the following conditions, Sethos receives a 15% bonus Electro damage for 10 seconds, which can stack up to 2 times (each level is counted separately):
 • By expending energy through targeted shots.
 • Recovering energy from elemental reactions caused by the Ancient Rite: Thunderous Roar of Sand skill.
 • Activates Arcane Ritual: Twilight Shadow Piercer (Elemental Burst).
Ode to the Sage of the Rising Moon Increases the skill level of Royal Shooting Mastery (normal attacks) by 3. Max. level: 15.

Book of the Temple of the Rogue Sun After Shadow Piercing Shot hits an enemy, the energy spent by the ive talent Black Kite Riddle will be returned. This effect can occur no more than once every 15 seconds.

The best constellations of Sethos - С1, С2 и С6.

 • first constellation increases critical chance. Level 2 hits from Sethos' charged attack. Since the character often uses them, this makes it easier to collect artifacts and balance the hero’s stats.
 • Second constellation gives a 30% elemental damage bonus for normal actions that the hero constantly performs during the rotation. In almost any situation, the buff is constantly active.
 • sixth constellation returns 20 energy spent on a hold attack. Konsta makes it possible to use elemental explosions more often and use energy more economically.

Advantages and disadvantages

Like other characters, Sethos has his pros and cons. Let's look at them in more detail using the table:

Advantages Disadvantages
The main damage-dealing abilities depend on elemental mastery, which allows you to focus only on this stat and crits, without worrying about attack power. He is a 4 ⭐ damage dealer character, so he is inferior in damage to many legendary characters if he does not have a good build.
Elemental mastery is its main characteristic, which increases with leveling, making it easier to collect artifacts. Playing through charged attacks may not always be convenient, especially for those who use mobile devices.
Has intuitive gameplay through charged and normal attacks without overly complex rotations. Sethos cannot move while the skill is fully charged, which can make it difficult to dodge in some cases.
Sethos is an Electro element character, which opens his way into squads through various reactions. Without C6, Shadow Piercing Shot costs 20 points. energy for each use, which forces you to more carefully monitor energy and place characters in your squad who will help with pumping it up. A convenient solution to the problem is to decide on a rotation and play either through charged shots or through an explosion of elements.
Restores additional energy when triggered by an elemental skill. Plays well only in squads through reactions, since it is assembled exclusively through elemental mastery.
Has a useful ive that shows Sumeru wonders.

Leveling

To use Sethos' abilities most successfully, the character and his talents must be upgraded. Let's tell you in more detail about what resources and materials are needed to fully upgrade Sethos.

Best Sethos Builds in Genshin Impact

Sethos is the main damage dealer who plays from mastery of the elements. In attack power he also needs it, since the elemental skill and charged attacks from the hand depend on this characteristic. However, it is recommended to give preference to MS to a greater extent. Just like other main dds, Sethos needs Crete. damage и Crete. chance. It is worth paying attention to energy recovery, since the character tends to constantly spend it.

The cup for Sethos should be taken for Electro damage, and look for crit in the crown. damage or crit. chance. The clock in most builds is for elemental mastery. However, if the MS has enough sub-stats, and the squad has a suitable buffer (for example, Sucrose, Nahida or Albedo), then the advantage can be given to the attack power clock.

Next, we will tell you in detail how to collect Sethos in artifacts, weapons and units.

Recommended characteristic values:

 • Elemental Mastery: approximately 500-600 units. You can score more if Sethos plays solely from the explosion of the elements.
 • ATK: from 1000 units. and more if playing through charged attacks from the hand.
 • Crete. chance and crit. damage should be in a 1:2 ratio (for example, 60% critical chance and 120 critical damage).
 • Energy recovery: about 120%-140% depending on the presence of a second Electro in the squad and the Favonius weapon.

Best weapon

Weapons for Sethos must contain crit. damage or crit. chance. Since in most builds the character plays primarily through elemental mastery with charged attacks, these stats also need to be looked for. Attack power is not so useful for the hero, but you can consider such bows if the basis of the gameplay is charging from the hand.

44-542
Critical Chance:
9.6%-44.1%
Increases elemental damage by 12%-24%. Hitting an enemy with a charged attack grants the Relentless Hunt effect, increasing the damage of hold attacks by 160%-320% from the mastery of the elements. Aqua Simulacra

Basic attack:

Amos’ Bow

Basic attack:
46-608
Attack Power:

A set for beginners to enhance charged attacks. The second part of the ive is convenient to use, since the cooldown of the skill and the duration of the buff are the same.

Detachments

Sethos is the main DD who does most of the damage in the party, so allies should be selected based on his needs. Since his main stat is elemental mastery, Sethos' team should help implement this stat. For this reason, Dendro and Hydro allies are best, and a mono-elemental team should be abandoned.

For Sethos, you need to select one or two sub-deaders who will increase the elemental status, as well as s who provide shields, healing or buffs. Please note that Sethos's normal attacks in his ult are considered damage from charged attacks, so s that enhance normal shots will not be suitable for him.

How to play Sethos

Sethos' gameplay is built around his charged attacks, which can be of two different types:

 • Charged strikes of the second level (Shadow Piercing Shots) from the hand.
 • Dusk bolts instead of normal attacks during stance after activating an elemental burst.

Please note that Shadow Piercing Shots cost 20 HP. energy of Sethos. This means that three full shots will waste all the energy that could have been spent on the explosion of the element. Based on this, if the character does not have enough energy recovery, you can play for him in two ways - through charged blows from the hand or through an explosion of the elements. Keep in mind that for a comfortable game, Sethos must have full energy at the beginning of each rotation. Otherwise, first restore it with the help of s.

Additionally, Sethos' elemental skill only restores energy if it triggers a reaction. Use skills before using E-Shki to inflict elemental status.

Rotation

Procedure for playing through Shadow Piercing Shots:

s/Sub-DD > Charged Attack (Shadow Piercing Shot) > Elemental Skill (E) > Charged Attack (Shadow Piercing Shot) > Charged Attack (Shadow Piercing Shot) > Charged Attack (Shadow Piercing Shot) > Elemental Skill (E) > Charged Attack (Shadow Piercing Shot)

In the first rotation, all of Sethos' energy is spent on Shadow Piercing Shots. Keep in mind that if Sethos has a sixth constellation, he can make an additional charged attack after E-shka after returning energy. If desired, you can alternate the character's play styles, periodically switching to an explosion of elements. More detailed description of the rotation:

 1. Use abilities to apply elemental status to enemies to trigger reactions later. In this case, the best sub-deaders are those whose abilities synergize well with charged shots.
 2. Switch to Sethos and use a one-time charged attack.
 3. Activate his elemental skill and restore some of his energy. Don't forget that the E-shka restores more energy if the enemy has a reaction status.
 4. Use 3 Shadow Piercing Shots.
 5. If the energy recovery value is high or the skill is cooled down immediately after the rotation is completed, you can have time to activate the E-shka again and then perform a Shadow Piercing Shot.
 6. Repeat from the first point.

Procedure for a more versatile game through the explosion of the elements Secret Ritual Twilight Shadow Piercer:

s/Sub-DD > Elemental Burst (Q) > Normal Attacks (Dusk Bolts) > Elemental Skill (E) > Charged Attack (Shadow Piercing Shot)

When playing through an elemental explosion, Sethos uses normal attacks, the damage of which is replaced by damage from charged ones. In this case, characters who work with regular attacks (for example, Xingqiu or Ye Lan) are well suited as s for reactions. Detailed description of rotation through Sethos's ultimate:

 1. Activate the skills of s and secondary damage dealers.
 2. Go to Sethos and put him into a state of Twilight Meditation using his ultimate.
 3. Attack enemies with normal attacks, the damage of which is considered the damage of charged attacks, until the stance ends.
 4. Reset an elemental skill to restore energy. If necessary, you can update the status from .
 5. Use one Shadow Piercing Shot. If Sethos has C6, you can take another shot.
 6. Repeat from the first point as you roll back.

Сonclusion

Sethos is a fairly strong epic damage dealer whose gameplay is based on using charged attacks. At the same time, his playstyle can be convenient even for those players who do not like aimed shots, since during the ult stance the hero spams normal attacks. Sethos is focused on elemental mastery and crits, so he has a simplified stat balance that allows him to successfully build a character even at low ranks. The hero is very loyal to beginners both because of his simple gameplay and the ability to choose available equipment.

However, he is still a 4⭐ character who, without constellations, loses to many legendary heroes. In addition, Sethos's Electro element limits his choice of units and does not allow him to cause powerful first-order reactions. Also, without the presence of C6, Sethos has a problem with energy, which is not enough to simultaneously spam charged attacks and activate an elemental explosion. This problem is solved by choosing one type of action to follow during one rotation.

We hope this guide helped you create the best Sethos build in Genshin Impact. If you have any questions, ask them in the comments. stay tuned ENT.

Is [Rusty Bow] suitable for R5 Setos if you play from the ult, or is [Slingshot] still better?

Answer RantOMazer

so damage during the ult is considered damage of the charged attack, that is, a rusty bow is an absolute useless, and also on the attack power, and also rusty reduces the damage of the charged one, that is, it is a debuff at all, lol

finally knocked out this guy, but it remains to pump, so far I gave the ideal ensemble-set and the Lini signature, in of squads I have 2 options: Setos, Raiden, Kazuha and Bai Zhu, or through overload with Raiden, Chevreuse and Bennett.
His charged attack consumes energy, this is unusual, and the character requires high recovery, I managed to collect 154%, it seems normal, in of elemental mastery I have 400+
When I finish ing, I'll write about the damage

Answer 37xhfrp9

Preliminary assessment of damage depending on gameplay:
Setos is played both from a charged and an ult - and the player needs to make a choice how he will play, if from an ult, then he will have to give up the charged ones, unless there is a c6, but if on the contrary - to play only from charged ones, then all the energy will go to them;
and what is better to choose then? well, for now it seems that the ult is useless and there is no damage, unlike charged attacks, perhaps I should pump up the character to make a final assessment, but in of damage, the ult is like 1.0-1.5 charged attack, although this is immediately visible in the talents, the charged attack scales from attack power + ms, and the ult only from the latter, although I expected much more damage, after all, during the ult, the damage is considered the damage of the charged attack

37xhfrp9
37xhfrp9

Answer 37xhfrp9

pumped up to lvl 80, attack talent level 7, what about damage: 44k damage with a charged attack (under energy) in a pack of overload, something like that
if I level up to lvl 90 and make a talent of level 9 - it will definitely be 50k, and that's without chevrolet c6, if anything
as for 4* I'm quite happy with the damage, although it's worth understanding that, say, 50k from a charged weapon and you can do this attack 3 times, and it's not a fact that it will crit,
and then you need to recharge with energy, however, updating buffs, etc.
and repeat the rotation, regarding the ult I still don't understand why it's needed at all, Yoimiya cosplay - and not only

What do you think is better for damage - Slingshot or Cloudforged?

I found the answer on YouTube, watched several different videos, and everywhere the Slingshot shows itself better due to the increase in charged attacks, despite the lower mastery of the elements.

everything is much funnier. The slingshot already at level 20 is ahead of the event gun, because we only need crit chance from elevation, and the base has very little effect on the damage from the ult. I recently calculated in the calculator which is better - forged or skywing. How it burned when I calculated the slingshot and it turned out to be 30 percent stronger

Are you offended by the character?
Setos is a pretty cool character with his own mechanics, and if you want, you can assemble him into a DD, however, this is his main and only role, even though he is 4*
Wifegaming is a base, and you go to a character's page and hate him for no reason, if you need another character to deal damage - that's your business, why bother with others?

Is Sethos worth the risk? I've now wasted 49 attempts (and not one Sethos in about 30 of those). I don’t really need Haytham or Clorinda right now. The chances at the leg are 50/50. Yes, I’ve already been lucky 3 times 50/50.

Do you like its design and gameplay? If yes, then take the risk. The character is very pleasant and varied: if you want to play with a call, or if you want to play with charged ones. In addition, it is very cheap in of arts and weapons (ensemble + slingshot)!

In 150 spins, I got it 7 times and got two crowns (I’m thinking of throwing a crown into my food too, I know it’s stupid, but why not?). As a result, I have great pleasure and for me Sethos is the best character in the game!

If you are playing recently, then if I were you, I wouldn’t spin banners for 4rock. Especially for the sake of main-dds, like setos, which are always weaker than 5star main-dds.
If you’ve been playing for a long time and the whole question is, “I want a setos, but suddenly an unwanted leg appears.”
If I were you, I wouldn’t twist it again. I knocked it out and overall I’m not happy with it.
!For me! it is uncomfortable and weak (at C0). And it’s definitely not worth the risk of spinning it on a banner with unwanted legs. There are never enough twists, even for donors. And 5star legis come out every 8-12 months. 4 can always fall out. Don't waste it.

It's a little late, but I'll answer anyway. I've been playing since the second half of 3.3 (that is, a year and a half). I would like to point out that after my message I scrolled 11 times (to make it exactly 60). Sethos did not fall out. Lega too. I won’t spend any more money until 4.8 (I don’t see the point). In 4.8 they will try to get Navia, because... Shen He won’t be there + I don’t really need Emilia + I have an excess of 5-star Hydro (Nile, Kokomi, Furina, Mona). Plus I’ll diversify my collection with another attacker/extra. attacker (and the first Geo-attacker, so to speak).

I’m wondering why the sky is better than the slingshot, if Sethos’ charge scales are completely from MS, that is, he doesn’t give a damn about the base, and the slingshot and critical mass have the same amount, but the ive is not only not useless, but one of the most useful to him in principle (and ult damage (which is the damage of charged attacks, although game-mechanically the arrows work like regular ones and even trigger Xingqiu’s swords and Ye Lan’s arrows), and regular charged attacks form the basis of his damage, which means the affix in them is very useful, whereas Nebeska gives periodic physical damage, which is almost useless!) Nebeska has always been considered as a stat stick for those who need a high base in addition to crits, but that’s the point! Sethos doesn't need her! Collecting it through an attack is simply nonsense, so why sacrifice a ive for a bunch of affixes for the sake of a base?! I understand why the focus is better - there is not only a base, but also an affix. (And that’s debatable). I understand why aqua is better - it stupidly suffocates with a little more critical mass (although, by the way, ksh is valued more than ku and it is ksh that needs to be collected first, and by a certain threshold ksh should be collected by ku, and with a slingshot the whole thing is much easier to balance, I say as a person who has both weapons and Sethos) and the mythical ability to implement a ive for all enemies with shots that hit right through. (AND THIS IS DISPUTE!) But I refuse to agree that the slingshot is worse than even the near-useless sky, which all that gives Sethos is crits, and in of critical mass it is the same as a slingshot, only the slingshot GIVES SOMETHING BUT CRITS. The fact that a weapon is 3* does not give you the right, out of habit, to lower it below any leg that has at least some crits. Heaven is WORST.

In general, you can go the other way and replace Furina with Yao Yao. Thus, get additional MS for Sethos due to dendro synergy

There are some problems with energy. Until I figured out what the reason is, for some reason the ult is not gaining. I’ve been playing for a long time, so I have an understanding of how to build a pack. I press 3 subs, switch, but there is no ult. And it’s not clear to the eye whether right now I have enough for 2 and need to switch, or now balls of energy will fly in and it’ll be enough for the 3rd. When you shoot, the current energy is not visible. Either you have to shoot not through the sight, or wear the codex favonium nahida :_)

in 70% of cases I switch to it without an ult, having already lived through all the subs.
But I shoot with 3 strikes, because... Apparently the energy is being pumped up.
The remaining 30% I shoot 2, but on the 3rd it’s not enough, and I wait 4-5 seconds for it to charge. That's why I say it's uncomfortable)

What's wrong with being stringless? When playing from the growing season and if you missed the event, it should be a good stick for MS, shouldn't it? Seriously, even the beak of an ibis is mentioned, which gives 160 ms and a not very useful attack, but the stringless one is not mentioned, which gives instead of an attack needed only in an eshka, an affix to this eshka, and not 160 ms, but 165. The bows are approximately equal, while the beak You can no longer get an ibis, but you can get a stringless one.

Where does the info come from? All I see everywhere is that it’s f***ing cheap:

 • no need for attack, almost no need for recovery (but at the same time maximum dependence on Fishli)
 • Slingshot - literally top 2 after the Hunting Path
 • Best set - Ensemble that farms "for change"

But at the same time, the guides cannot say anything special about its damage. As well as about const. Unless c2 gives noticeable increases.

How about a Sethos/Nahida/Bai Zhu/Blue pack?
Sethos is going with an emphasis on MS (forget about attack power altogether), and plays only through Q-shka + you need to give E-shka in time to restore energy to the ult; Nahida enhances electro damage + distributes ms + in resonance with Bai Zhu also increases ms; Bai Zhu heals, gives a shield and enhances reactions with his ive; Blue imposes hydro status for budding and subsequent growing season. It seems to me that the damage will be very decent

Hitting with regular attacks and being considered damage from regular attacks are two different things. To implement Elan, Blue or Fishli, it is enough to hit with normal attacks, and it doesn’t matter if it’s Normal Attacks, a stance in the Eshka or Ultimate. So everything is ok with the developers’ logic)
