K-91-122 in World of Tanks - a Tier 9 Soviet medium tank has status, so it receives a bonus to earning credits and farms bonds. Many players have formed the opinion that since it is a level 9 , it will be a weak tank that cannot adequately compete with same-level vehicles, but this vehicle turned out to be really suitable.
In the guide, we’ll look at what equipment to install on the K-91-122, crew perks, and decide on Field upgrades, and then we’ll sum up whether it’s worth buying.
How to get K-91-122
The tank was first released on December 6th TL-1LPC, Jagdtiger Pr and Type 63. The car can drop in any of the boxes or on the guaranteed 50th. The chance of falling on the listed vehicles is the same.
TTX K-91-122
Next, we will analyze in detail the tactical and technical characteristics of the K-91-122 and compare it with other USSR ST level 9.
Firepower
A distinctive feature of the tank, as can be understood from its name, is 122 mm gun with one-time damage 440 units, which is even more than some level 9 STs. At the same time, it has normal stabilization and good armor penetration: 252 mm basic armor-piercing projectile 300 mm cumulative, both fly at a speed of 940 meters per second.
You have to pay for a powerful weapon with a long reload 11,03 seconds, which allows you to produce about 5 per minute.44 shots, so DPM is mediocre 2 394 units. The weapon is reduced for 2,4 seconds, but the accuracy is surprisingly good for such a caliber - 0,33. UVN typical for Soviet ST -6 ... + 20 °, but it is worth noting that the turret here is located in the center of the hull, closer to the front, which is much more convenient than the conventional K-91-2 with a rear turret placement.
Vitality
Margin of safety 1500 units, which is one of the lowest values among classmates and forces you to play carefully after a couple of breaks. The hull armor is weak, except that sometimes you can catch an accidental ricochet from the VLD, but in the frontal projection there are many vulnerable areas, so even the “eights” will penetrate.
The situation with the turret is a little better, you can try to tank it with your forehead at the top of the list, but there are two noticeable hatches on top through which damage will , so it’s better not to “trade” the turret again unless necessary.
Mobility, stealth and surveillance
Despite its large mass, the K-91-122 has good power density due to its excellent engine, which allows it to accelerate to 55 km / h. Its maneuverability is also fine - the chassis turning speed is 52,15°.
The tank has a good stealth coefficient and viewing radius 400 meters, which allows in many cases to detect the enemy earlier and fire the first shot. However, the tank has muzzle brake on the gun, so after a shot the camouflage is greatly reduced.
Advantages and disadvantages
Summing up the tactical and technical characteristics of the K-91-122, we can highlight its strengths and weaknesses.
Advantages:
- Large one-time damage compared to same-level STs
- Excellent accuracy for a gun of this caliber and good stabilization
- High armor penetration with a basic projectile
- Good acceleration dynamics and maneuverability
- Not a bad disguise
- High viewing radius
- The large mass allows you to ram LT and many STs
- All projectiles fly at the same speed, so it’s easier to get used to shooting ahead.
Disadvantages:
- Long reload
- Medium damage per minute
- Inconvenient gun angle
- Weak booking
What to install on K-91-122: selection of equipment
For K-91-122, the best choice of equipment is assembly through improved ventilation in the profile slot, Gun Rammer and Vertical Stabilizer. Increasing your basic characteristics will allow you to concentrate on dealing damage. However, it is worth ing that the projectiles have a low flight speed of 940 m/s, so you need to get used to shooting ahead. In this case it is preferable captured equipment option

An alternative option is to replace Improved Ventilation with Turbocharger. This will improve mobility to occupy key positions and increase combat effectiveness by increasing DPM and reducing dispersion.
As you upgrade your Field Upgrade, you can open a second profile survivability slot and put it there hardening, to increase the safety margin of the machine, which is sometimes sorely lacking.

Brief summary of the assemblies:
- The first assembly is the most universal, which can be implemented under any conditions, but when choosing a direction and positions, you need to take into the basic dynamics and low HP reserve.
- The second one is best suited for open maps, where it is important to take key positions.
- The third one is best used on city maps, because there you often have to exchange strength points.
Crew training K-91-122: selection of perks
The vehicle's crew consists of four tankers, so the commander has a combined specialization with the radio operator. In this case, a crew from most Soviet STs with similar leveling of perks will be suitable:

Field modernization of K-91-122
Installing additional modules allows you to strengthen some characteristics of the machine, but in return you will have to weaken others. The choice is not always obvious; some are situational in nature or depend on the preferred gameplay. The K-91-122 turned out to be a completely balanced tank, so it doesn’t really need field modernization; rather, it will allow you to individually configure the equipment to suit your preferences.
- One of the most controversial modifications is in the first cell. The problem is that both debuffs are unpleasant, so you don't have to choose anything here, but if you use a regular strap, then take "Increasing the viability of modules".
- Please note here "Floating sight". This is a priority improvement; you can sacrifice a little stabilization. Choose "Setting the suspension arms" possible if the accuracy drops only by 0,01, i.e. if captured/boom equipment and improved consumables are used.
- "Turbocharger settings" will increase the speed of reversing, it will not be superfluous in close combat, when you need to have time to roll away. If you prefer to play at a long distance, it will be more useful "Anti-glare masking of headlights".
- Bet “Setting the loading mechanism”, if you play aggressively at close range, then the decrease in accuracy will not be so noticeable, and the acceleration of reloading will increase the DPM. In contrast to this, choose “Setting the aiming mechanism” Worth it if you prefer to stay on the 2nd or 3rd line. For a balanced game, it is better not to bet anything, because... debuffs have a noticeable impact on performance characteristics when using conventional equipment.
In the screenshots below you can compare the final accuracy and reload time in builds for active play on the front line and more careful play from the 2nd line (increasing accuracy and stealth).

Conclusion
The K-91-122 in World of Tanks is one of the best Tier 9 vehicles, and in general it looks good compared to other promotional and pumpable tanks. The developers were able to create a balanced technique that has universal gameplay and does not require a high level of skill from players to master it. The tank farms well, and level 9 is one of the most comfortable to play, so it receives mostly positive reviews.
It’s a pity that you can only get it with the purchase of New Year’s boxes. It would be better if Lesta did a marathon with tasks, like the TST tank marathon, it would be more interesting. And the TST tank is complete garbage.
It's not the same for everybody. As a person who plays mainly at large events, it was nice to have such a tank. And for nerds, a tank is less, a tank makes no difference. They will still find something to ride.
