How to mine copper
You can't break copper with a regular or green pickaxe: they don't do any damage to stones in lava caves, so you won't be able to extract the resource with their help: you'll need a blue tool, which is made on a rare workbench from the following ingredients:
- Cactus Stick×3: Created at a sawmill from ordinary cactus;
- Sand Claw×3: obtained from wolves that live in the desert.
Sometimes the copper is too high or too close to the lava. Bring some wood ahead of time to build stairs and platforms. Don't worry about lava: it doesn't do enough damage to kill a character outright, and buildings won't be destroyed if they touch it.

How to make a copper ingot in LEGO Fortnite
To get a copper ingot in LEGO Fortnite, you must first build a smelter. To do this, you need the following resources, all of which are mined in the lava cave:
- Lavolite×15;
- Obsidian block×35: crafted from obsidian on a stone crusher;
- Powder core×3: Dropped by a Demoman who disguises himself as hot rocks in caves.
Interact with the created structure to smelt the copper into a copper ingot. For one item you will need:
- Copper×1;
- Lavolite×2.
What are copper ingots used for?
First of all, copper ingots will be needed to improve workbench to the last, epic level: purple equipment is made from copper. The resource is necessary for crafting a stove, with which you can cook rare food with useful characteristics.
