Bones in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 — in-game activity, one of the ways to earn pennies and other bonuses. It is an analogue of the real game "zonk" with a slight modification of the rules. Find specially equipped gaming tables with characters ready to make a bet, and take a risk in an attempt to increase your wealth.
In this article, we will look into the rules of the dice game in KCD 2 and give some tips that will help you beat your opponent.
Where to find craps tables
As a rule, dice tables can be found in taverns, but sometimes gambling characters can offer to play during quests. You can try yourself as a dice player for the first time during the prologue. In the future, to find a table with a game board, go to the tavern of any settlement. You can recognize it by the characteristic sign with an image of a mug of foamy drink. On the map, they are marked with corresponding icons: the tavern - a beer mug, and the gaming table - dice.
How to Play Dice in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
To start the game, talk to the character sitting at the table and select the appropriate option in the dialogue. If there is no one at the right place, try waiting a little. Dice players come to the tavern at about 9 am and leave after closing.
After choosing the type of game (with or without a badge), place a bet. Players usually offer several options, depending on their wealth. If the inventory contains the required number of groschen, the game will begin.
Course of the game
The game itself consists of several rounds, during which opponents take turns throwing 6 dice, earning points. The main goal is to reach or exceed the score required to win, which is displayed in the lower left corner of the screen. The player who does this first is considered the winner and doubles his bet.
The number of points received per round is determined by the sum of all combinations collected during it. If after throwing a winning combination appeared on some of the dice, they can be marked using the key E and put aside, and then roll the remaining ones to try to get more points. You can do this until you the turn yourself or there is no combination on the dice. In the latter case, it is considered a failure and all points scored during the round are lost.
It is important to that with each re-roll the number of possible combinations decreases, and the chance of losing increases. You can re-roll the dice even if there is only one dice left, but in order not to lose the accumulated points, you need to get a value of 1 or 5 on it.
All combinations of dice
In total, there are 11 main winning sequences that can be collected when playing dice:
- 1 - 100 points;
- 5 - 50 points;
- 1+1+1 — 1 points;
- 2+2+2 — 200 points;
- 3+3+3 — 300 points;
- 4+4+4 — 400 points;
- 5+5+5 — 500 points;
- 6+6+6 — 600 points;
- 1+2+3+4+5 — 500 points;
- 2+3+4+5+6 — 750 points;
- 1+2+3+4+5+6 — 1 500 очков.
Combinations of points on the dice can be doubled. To any set of three identical dice that has fallen out, more of the same kind can be added. Each subsequent one will double the number of points received. For example:
- 1+1+1 — 1 000;
- 1+1+1+1 — 2 000;
- 1+1+1+1+1 — 4 000.
The maximum possible score for a throw is 8, which can be achieved by rolling six ones on the dice.
Devil's head, which appears on some special dice instead of one, acts as a "joker" when rolled, adding any value to the sequence of rolled dice that is suitable for making the best combination. Examples:
- 2+2+2 and Devil's Head - 400 points (in this case the joker stands as an additional two).
- 1+2+3+4+5 and Devil's Head - 1 points (the "Devil's Head" replaces the next number in the sequence - 500).
It is important to that the combination you have rolled will not be counted until you mark and write it down manually. If you simply the move, the points will not be counted.
Selecting Dice
Although dice games are largely based on luck and random dice rolls, the outcome of the game can be influenced to some extent. One way is to get your own dice with a certain effect.
Traveling around the game world, you can find dice with unique properties in a variety of places. These can be dice with a shifted center of gravity, on which a certain number is more likely to fall out. Or cubes with a "devil's head" instead of one. Having collected a set of dice with special effects, you can skillfully combine them and significantly increase your chances of winning the game.
If you have at least one unique dice in your inventory, you will be prompted to select the dice you want to include in your game set before starting the game. Otherwise, the game will automatically start with a standard set of regular dice.
Special bones can be either bought or found in caches or on the bodies of killed enemies. While traveling around the game world, you will definitely come across such items more than once.
How to Use Plates in Dice
By choosing the game conditions before the start of the game "With a badge", you can make the game more interesting. Tin, silver and gold plaques are special items used during the round. With their effect, such icons can influence the rules of the game.
Once you decide to play with a badge, select its rarity, then apply one badge of the selected quality from your inventory to the game. In turn, your opponent will select his badge. You can only play if both players have badges of the same level.
How to Win the Dice Game in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Even though craps is a game that relies heavily on luck, there are a few tips that can improve your chances of winning:
- Try to leave 5 dice for a re-roll., if the first attempt was unsuccessful. For example, when only 1 and 5 came up from the available combinations, write down one and re-roll the dice. This way you will get a better chance of a successful outcome.
- Don't take risks when there are 3 or less cubes left.This is especially true in situations where many points have already been recorded.
- Sometimes risking a small amount can lead to a big winIf after several attempts you only managed to collect 150-200 points, try to go to the end and continue throwing the dice.
- When choosing special dice with effects, try to consider their compatibility. If you choose a die that often comes up with a certain number, add a couple more of the same number to it. And if there are a couple of dice with a 1 often coming up, you can add a "devil's head" to them.
- Before the game you can save using the "Save and Exit" button. After completing a game, the save is not overwritten, so you can simply load and try again.
- Try to explore the map to find as many special bones and plaques as possible.. For example, before the very first game with Zhban in the prologue, you can go into a small cavern in the rock behind the camp and find a charged dice there with an increased chance of getting a side with a one.
By the way, you can return to this cave after completing the prologue, the bone will still be there. To get to the right place, go to the northern shore of the lake to the west of Zheleev. But picking up the find will be a little more difficult, since the bandits have already set up camp there. To get into the cavern, you will need to sneak or break through by force.
By following the rules and tips for playing dice, you can quickly get used to the process and learn to win even against the most experienced players with a large number of unique dice in hand.
