In the 1 chapter "Black Skies, Red Fire" you will get to the Bamboo Grove and find the fast travel point of the same name. There is a steep descent near the altar - head down and turn left.
Going down you will see a age between low stone monuments and several ordinary opponents in the distance. In front of the pack of monsters, on the left side, there is a narrow path that leads to a high mountain.
A shortcut will lead to a stone collapsed arch, ing through which you will find yourself in a dark cave with one of places for meditation. Go to the right corner of the room, in the dead end you will find the desired creature.
Get as close to the NPC as possible and start a conversation with him, then listen to all the horse's phrases:
- First remark: "You don't look like the local Yaoguai. Have you come from far away and seek the favor of King Black Wind?"
- Last remark: "Well, I don't have much time. Goodbye."
After the dialogue, you will be able to continue the game and meet the horse Guai in other places.

- You need to find the horse-blacksmith in each chapter - you can't miss a single interaction with the NPC.
- There are a total of 5 different horse locations and you need to visit them in sequence, taking into the progress of the story.
- If you have made the transition to a new chapter, then the horse will not disappear in the previous one, so you will be able to return to the old location and talk to him. However, only on the condition that did not have time to disrupt the order of conversations.
- In one dialogue, Guay says a series of several phrases and you need to listen to each of them - only after the last line can you leave.

Find the horse at Yellow Wind Ridge
Incense Altar: Yellow Wind Ridge -> Sand Gate Village -> Entrance to the settlement.
In Chapter 2 "Yellow sand, quiet twilight" There is a chance to find an Earth Wolf in the local village - not far from the arena with this boss, a horse-blacksmith awaits another meeting.
From the previously indicated teleportation point, go to the edge of the cliff and jump down. Run further through the shadow and then you will find a steep stone staircase that you need to climb.
Once you are on the surface, step onto the long wooden platform - walk along it to the fence, thus, you will find yourself in the village square. Then you need to turn right, run to a tall tree and go around it.
All that's left is to make a winding path up through the nearby hills and come out onto a narrow village street. Continue along the road, the arched opening and you'll come across a spacious battlefield. Deal with the annoying monsters and find a large gazebo on the right side.
Approach the building to find a tied up horse, which you can talk to again:
- First remark: "Our destinies are linked, sir. We have already met on Black Wind Mountain, and now we meet here."
- Last remark: "I cannot die until my work is finished."
After the conversation is over, don't be afraid to leave the horse in captivity - Guai will survive and escape.
Find a horse in the New West
Incense Altar: New West -> New Thunderclap Temple -> Temple Entrance.
In the 3 chapter "White snow, icy cold" gain access to the snowy temple in the mountains where the Unemptied boss resides and the fox's quest is completed. From the nearby altar, head towards the main gate, run through the building to reach the courtyard.
Now you need to go up the left stairs and follow the stone square to the descent, which is located between two high monuments. Thus, you will find yourself in a courtyard with an entrance to a large red house - run inside.
Turn right, then go up the stairs until you see a lighted exit. If you followed the correct route, you will find yourself on a narrow wooden platform. Turn towards the row of columns and head along the right side to the far pillar.
Go around the column behind which the tall figure is hiding and start a dialogue with the horse:
- First remark: "My friend!"
- Last remark: "My friend, why don't you keep me company?"
If you heard the above phrases, then feel free to return to the next step.

What about chapter 4?
The guide will soon be updated with the last points on the route where you can meet the horse.
The thing is that I already screwed up the quest on my first playthrough, ALTHOUGH I talked to the horse in all 4 chapters and still didn’t get what I was supposed to in the 5th chapter.
Therefore, I would like to know more about what will happen after the 4th chapter.
What exactly didn't work? He doesn't give his transformation the first time you meet him in the mouth of the cart, however if you return to this cart after end of chapter, then he will give his transformation and the quest will be completed.
