How the ±25% chance works in WoT and what the WBR depends on

Why the player cannot influence the outcome of the battle in any way if the system is against him.

Hello tankers! Wotpack is with you and we continue to deal with the main mechanics of World of Tanks. Last time we met 3 gauge rulehow it is done and now in line operating principle ±25%.

This topic is shrouded in a lot of rumors and conspiracy theories, over which the fantasy of the players worked, but on one of the last streams, the developers revealed the secret - where ±25% come from. This scatter also has a second name, almost everyone has heard of it - Great Belarusian Random, aka VBR for short. So the players ironically called the random number generator.

And now let's see how it works. At the time of the shot, the server does not attempt to determine the probability of an event at the time of its occurrence. This is about:

  • dispersion when fired and inside the circle (affects the accuracy of the hit);
  • dispersion in one-time damage and armor penetration.
The server plans all these values ​​in advance, supposedly normalizes them. He calculates millions of different situations and collects, and at a certain moment gives out to the player.

To begin with, we will give a couple of simple examples, so that later the mechanism of the FBG would be clearer.

Lech came tired from the factory, tired at work, his wife took out her brains at home. He thinks, okay, I’ll go at least relax in tanks. I decided to roll out the top Swede Kravagn in order to tank with an impenetrable tower, to bend down the crustaceans. Let's assume that he was lucky with the card and got Live Ox.

The hero went to play from the relief near the bridge and starts to unload the drum: the 1st shell hit, the 2nd shell missed, the 3rd shell ricocheted. Well, okay, there is an attempt N2: I didn’t break through, didn’t break through, and bam, I also threw art.

And then there are 4 defeats, 2 of them by a turbo drain.

And even the P-extinguisher will not save here. I exaggerate a little, but somehow I imagine the situation, when allies merge with 1-2 penetrations per battle. But the fact is that even 3 unsuccessful shots in a row do not increase the chances of success.

±25% does not mean that every 4th shot will succeed or fail. The player may be lucky, he will drag the battle, the shells from the turntable for 300 meters will fly right on target, blow up the ammo rack or even just medals "Shooter" и "Armoured Piercer" for hits and penetrations in a row.

And at the same time, the opposite outcome is possible, when all the shells fly past or do not penetrate. For example, rolled out Leopard 1 with excellent accuracy and high speed of flight of sub-caliber shells, and in the field it cuts through the enemy chariot. Let's imagine that the car is in the hands of an experienced player, he correctly took the lead and fired, but the VBR decided that penetration was not destined to be, so hitting the wheels without damage.

And now we have smoothly approached how random values ​​are given to the player:

Everything has already been decided for the player. At the time of the shot, the server simply gives him one of the millions of ready-made options. This random does not depend on skill or donation and does not increase / decrease in any way based on previous results.

Which of the players was not indignant that, with full mixing, they did not hit the tank from 100 meters or at the most crucial moment left the enemy less than 10HP. And everything is simple, before each shot the server gives a random outcome for him.

Why this is necessary

According to the developers, this is an important element of the game, which allows you to maintain interest due to the high spread between emotions. The game is not going on, I want to take revenge, correct the stat, or simply turn on the reserves for 2 hours. Without negative emotions (burning), the taste of victory will not be so noticeable.

There is no pattern, everything is decided by luck (randomly) and even skill players cannot always resist WBR. What do you think about this, do players need a chance of ±25%?

I've been playing this shit for several years. From the first day I noticed that the spread between the players is mainly 47-52 percent in of victories. In essence, they are one and the same. Do not bother with the results: the percentage of wins, damage, pierced / not pierced and other nonsense. Most players have good statistics in the game. Set a different goal. For example, buy all lvl 10 tanks. t strive for it. Let the developers suffer if they enjoy it

Cheats do not give any advantage in this false game. Just convenience. As VBR appoints, such an outcome of the battle will be.
The game is designed for assholes. It is not comfortable for a smart person to play it. the d**k won’t understand that in real life, if a heavy load appears, then there’s nothing to do nearby. And in this bullshit game, the enemy’s LT is stronger than your heavy. Your same LT will not be able to cope with the same weight of the enemy.
And there is no point in talking about invisibility at all.
The enemy sees you very far, and you see him only in close proximity.
There are so many lies from the developers that it’s impossible to list them all.
Therefore, Cheats do not affect the outcome of the battle. All claims to the developers.
