Eghill the winged dragon Elden Ring - not the only dragon that will have to be destroyed on the way to the Ring of Elden, but this particular boss is the first flying hulk that will meet. Eghil does not have to be killed, but defeating him will significantly replenish the rune counter.

Eghil is one of the four main dragons in the game. Its size is frightening, and the flames that it spews from its mouth make you shiver at all. The creature is too large, which is both an advantage and a weakness of the enemy.

This boss is optional and extremely easy to miss: the creature is only summoned when approaching a certain place on the map.

Where to find Aghil the Winged Dragon on the map in Elden Ring

The boss can be found on the western side of Lake Eghill, slightly east of the temple and Tree Guard. Go to the marker and look for the ruins there.

Leap forward and kick with the tail. A long stay at the dragon's tail can result in the loss of a huge amount of health: the dragon jumps away from the Extinguished One and at the same time attacks with its tail in an arc.
Fire eruption. The boss steps aside, takes off and spews out flames. A huge cone of fire deals area damage.
Acceleration jerk. The dragon lets out a roar, signaling a gain in speed. The creature dashes and steps towards the Extinguished One several times. If at this time you touch the body of the enemy, then it deals damage.
Eruption of fire in flight. The dragon jumps back, takes off and breathes flame down, dealing damage in an area.
Ground hit. The start of this attack coincides with the in-flight eruption of fire: Aghil flies up to a low altitude, lingers on it, and then crushes to the ground, dealing damage below him.
Flight over the arena. The boss flies over the location for some time, abundantly pouring fire on the area.

If the situation allows, attack Aghil in the head: the creature will take more damage than hitting the paws or wings. However, do not overdo it: the dragon can interrupt the series of blows with its horn or mouth.

The main strategy is dragon provocations for positional strikes. It is important to constantly be in front of the Winged Aghil, forcing him to hit with the limb next to which the Extinguished One stands. By hitting with its wing, the dragon will allow you to strike at its head. Repeat this algorithm several times to deal significant damage in a short period of time.

If the dragon loses too much health at once, this will open up the opportunity to deal critical damage.

When the dragon makes a series of strikes, for example, bites several times in a row, immediately get close and hit him. One or two hits and move away so as not to die.

As soon as it becomes noticeable that the dragon takes off, then just run. Don't try to block or dodge - run away: this attack is very difficult to survive, so it will most likely kill the Extinguished.

If the dragon just took off, but did not spew fire, be prepared to dodge. Wait for the last moment and dodge the attack. While the creature is trying to regain strength, hit him on the paws or wings.

Don't stay behind Eghil for too long, as he always tail attacks in such situation. If the dragon takes off again, but this time it is going to fly around the arena, then immediately call on the horse.
