In this guide we will tell you how to get to the Temple of Ancestors in Natlan and complete all the puzzles, show you where all the chests and Pyrocules are hidden, as well as other valuable items.
Where is the Temple of the Ancestors in Natlan
The Temple of the Ancestors is located in the location of the same name in Natlan, to the east of Descendants of CrownsTo get to the area, just get to the Pyro region and head to the place indicated in the screenshot.
How to Solve Ancestral Temple Puzzles in Genshin Impact
There are several riddles in the location, and for solving each one you will receive a reward in the form of chests, oculus and achievements for which you will receive primogems.
How to open a cave
When attempting to remove the barrier in the Temple of Ancestors leading to the Abandoned Temple's Sanctuary of Sacrifice, the mechanism will require 3 Courier Challenge Keystones.
They are found in the following places and are obtained using the power of the Yumkasaurus:
- Mechanism in the west: turn the path converter towards the grate, throw the blue ball into it, and in flight turn the device again so that the grate goes down. The chest that appears contains the first key.
- North Mechanism: Drop down just below the central teleporter and you'll find a yellow ball that you need to launch with the Saurian into the ring nearby. Grab the second key and head to the final challenge.
- The mechanism in the east: here you will need to throw the green ball into the converter and manage to open the grate so that the sphere flies into the ring. Pull the hook by the stone door and take the last key from the chest that appears.

Return to the gate, after which the quest will automatically start chests.
Riddles with fairies
There are 5 scattered around the location manitou, each has its own riddle in the Temple of Ancestors, associated with graffiti:
- One of the Manitou is waiting on the stone half-ruined bridge, under the northwest teleporter. Using the force
- The next ghost lives on top of a cliff. Move to the northwest teleporter and climb up using the power of the jumkosaurus - there is a spirit sitting on the edge of the beam. Just approach it so that it automatically follows the graffiti.
- One manitou is in a cage to the east of the central teleporter. Get rid of the hilichurl, break the boxes behind the spirit and pull the hook using the powers of the jumcosaurus. After you can open the grate in the Temple of the Ancestors, follow the fairy to get your reward.
- The next spirit is located northeast of the central teleporter, on top of a cliff near the Crown Scion trial. Defeat the nearby enemies and follow the manitou.
- On a wooden platform, southwest of the central teleporter is one of the spirits. Fill it with phlogiston and follow it until you reach the graffiti. Nearby, behind the barrier, is Pyrocule, which we will discuss below.
For each delivered manitou you will receive a regular chest, one of which will be given as a reward by the rich.
How to remove the barrier to take the oculus
In the western part of the location, in the rock near the wooden bridge at the top, there is a magical barrier, behind which Pyrocule can be seen.
To remove the barrier:
- Go into the crevice to the right of the obstacle, near the graffiti.
- It is not necessary to solve the riddles, it is enough to climb a little higher, to the platform with a flaming seed inside the stone circle.
- From there, climb up another level using the power of the yumkasaurus.
- Interact with the mechanism, open the stone door, and move further up the stairs.
- Once you reach the exit, turn the camera back and pick up the Pyrocule.
What else is there in the Temple of Ancestors
Among other things, you will be able to find the following items and objects in the location:
- A treasure chest at the top of the temple, above the central teleporter.
- Precious Chest for Destruction slimes, north of the central teleporter.
- An amazing chest on the northern peak of the temple, behind a damaged stone tablet.
