Where to find the Temple of Bhaal in Baldur's Gate 3
Finding a way to get into the Temple of Bhaal can be a challenge. It is located northeast of the ruins of the Underground City.
How to get to the Temple of Bhaal in Baldur's Gate 3
The path to the temple lies through the sewers of the Lower City. The route is quite dangerous, so be prepared for a lot of enemies and take a long rest before going.
Descend into the Lower City sewers
There are different ways to get into the sewer. The easiest one is through the hatch to the west of the rune circle Basilisk Gate. Teleport and go into the nearest alley, where you will see a sewer hatch. Feel free to go down, after which you will find yourself in a small enclosed space.
If you the attention test, one of the walls will seem suspicious. Destroy it with "Otherworldly Discharge" or other similar spell. You can also use the Adamantine Mace, which provides critical hits to objects and will allow you to remove obstacles.
Follow the corridor until you come across a hole in the wall. Below there will be poisonous clouds that you can jump over or remove using the levers on the walls. Carefully go down, avoiding damage, and head towards the western door. Behind her, enemies are shooting at refugees, so you will have to engage in battle to continue your journey. The next room has tripwires that explode when you try to through them. Disarm or jump over the traps if the refugees didn't already set them off when they ran away.
Get to the ruins of the Underground City
As soon as you the room with guy ropes, you will see a wide sewer channel through which the raft is floated. Shoot the lever on the wall to pull the vehicle to your shore and climb aboard. Activate the long-range mechanism on the raft once and cross.
Then there are two paths: along the northern and western sides. If you approach the fat mephits on the broken bridge, a cut-scene with Aelis Sirius will start. The magician will decide that the heroes are messengers of the Absolute and will be aggressive. Can make a Persuasion, Deception, or Intimidation check [DC – 18], so as not to develop a conflict.
If you fail, there will be a large-scale battle with fat elementals, fat balls and a bunch of mephits. Therefore, it is recommended not to take risks and get to your destination by a roundabout, northern route, where there will be fewer enemies.
Follow the corridor and go through the first door you come across. Along the way in the ruins, you can notice a couple of loose stones in the floor if you the attention check. Under one of them there will be a painted key, and under the second - an unfinished diary. Move straight until you hit the rune circle Ruins of the Underground City.
How to open the door to the Temple of Bhaal in BG 3
To the east of the rune circle there is a stone door - this is the entrance to the temple of Baal. However, to open it, you will have to be smart.
Sacrifice to Baal
There are 3 options to persuade the door to open:
- Destroy the Murder Tribunal and provide evidence in the form of the Amulet of Bhaal;
- a group, confirming your cruelty;
- Spill blood on the round platform in front of the entrance.
The first two will only work if the heroes previously visited the Crypt of the Servants of Bhaal as part of the quest "Impress the Murder Tribunal". The third method is the simplest and does not require prior completion of any quests.
Use corpse
Above the stone slab near the rune circle there are corpses hanging on ropes. It is enough to shoot one of them to sprinkle the stones below with blood and the door will open. You can hit one of your allies for the same purpose, if you are not afraid of their anger. Before you go inside, take a long restto meet your enemies fully armed.
Archer Bhaal Slayer Gislev: how to win
As soon as you start going down the stairs, if you fail the attention check, you will be ambushed. There are many enemies, they are well distributed across the map, but they enter the battle gradually. You can use invisibility to try to turn the situation in your favor and not miss a move by taking more advantageous positions.
In battle, you should focus directly on the shooter: within five turns, he prepares a ritual that can instantly kill anyonewho comes into his field of vision. Therefore, try to use teleportation spells and dashes to get to Gislev faster.
He can teleport and cannot be pushed into the abyss, so it is best to send your main damage dealer towards the enemy to quickly deal with him. A spell will also help "Moonlight", which deals damage at the start of each turn. The approximate location of the enemies is shown in the screenshot below.
How to enter the Temple of Bhaal
When you win, follow the stairs further, where you will meet warning statues. Along the way, grab the severed head of a clown, which is in the inventory of one of the corpses, it will be useful for completing the quest "Find the Clown Drop". Be careful: the bodies are laid out on mines.
Once you reach the bridge, simply jump over the gap and activate the rune circle Temple of Bhaal. At the end of the road there will be another stone door that only opens amulet of Baal.
It is possible to open the temple without completing previous tasks, but only up to the second stone door. Therefore, going there without proper preparation and the aforementioned amulet makes no sense; it is better to first complete the necessary quests and only then continue the journey.

During the fight with Gislev, try to kill Strangler Luke before killing Gislev, as he drops very rare Bonespike Gloves.
When ambushed and fighting a shooter, you can summon an air elemental called Gale (for example), he can fly and teleport and casts a whirlwind with muteness and the casting of Gislev's spell is interrupted. And then more authoritative comrades pull up.
There is a fourth way to open the door (it's strange that it works), the knock spell
what is the character level and difficulty, what is the amount of HP?
I went into invisibility with my Persian before Gislev's ambush went off. He ran up to him and stuck the weapon in his back. I haven’t even started the battle and the mode is turn-based))
