Where to find Grim, eternal defender of the Adamantine Forge

How to prepare for a fight with Grim
Before the battle with Grim, prepare your squad, since the fight with the boss will not be easy. The enemy has vulnerability to bludgeoning damage, so equip the appropriate weapon to the character who will deal the main damage. At the same time, the enemy has an increased resistance to cutting, piercing and force damage, attacks with acid, thunder, cold, and is generally invulnerable to other types of damage, so carefully watch what you attack Grima with.
To make it easier to move between platforms in lava, it is recommended to take one or two heroes into your squad who have the ability Misty Step – in an emergency, the skill will help you teleport to a safe distance from the boss.

How to defeat Grim in Baldur's Gate 3

Place your squad

Lure Grim to the center of the forge
After the attack, Grim assesses the threat and turns his attention to the last hero who dealt damage to him. Switch to the companion who is standing on the crucible and attack the boss with his help. If his turn is not his last, skip the turn of the other characters so that they do not over-aggro the golem on themselves.
Activate the forge lever
Switch to the character on the crucible and take him to one of the platforms.
After that, with the hero standing near the forge lever, lower the hammer and damage Grim. The boss will get a fortune Flatness for a while.
As soon as Grim takes damage, Igneous mephits. Try to destroy them as quickly as possible using the character on the platform and the hero who left the crucible.
Keep the lava flowing
If the lava is gone, use the lava valve again to keep Grim overheated.
Repeat the steps, bringing the boss under the hammer until he dies.
Frontal attack
The Forge Defender can also be attacked manually without using the hammer strategy. To do this, you need to constantly keep it in the lava. Choose one or two melee characters armed with bludgeoning weapons to deal damage last in line and transfer all of Grim's damage to themselves. The best place to attack is where the boss appears, as well as the crucible in the center of the platform. Make sure that it is the main damage dealer who deals the final blow to the boss.
