Gateway to the Kingdom of Sakhali.

Fuban is the final opponent of the Sahali Kingdom. The guide to the hidden location is drunken boar — to gain access to the location, you must first complete the side quest associated with it. In the Sahal Kingdom itself, the route to the boss is as follows:

  • Defeat "Tiger Guard"."Guardian Tiger".
  • Go out into the open desert area. Go to the cliff hanging over the sand pool, on which stands Sage Yellow Wind and a drum is installed. Talk to the character to make him summon the beetle by hitting the instrument loudly.
  • Activate the Sand Gate Outskirts altar near the cliff and drop down into the sand pool to begin the fight.

How to Beat Fuban in Black Myth: Wukong

The fight with Fuban has a unique structure and is partly a plot with elements of staging. The latter makes the battle much easier. The general sequence of events after entering the arena is as follows:

  1. [Phase 1] The player personally fights Fuban, taking away about 40% of his health, after which a cutscene is activated.
  2. Next comes an interactive element with an exploration of the boss's body.
  3. [Phase 2] The final phase begins, in which the Sage Yellow Wind comes to the aid of the monkey.

Next, let's look at how to kill Fuban and defend yourself against him.

Boss attacks

Yaoguai attacks and how to overcome them:

  • Diving: Fuban burrows into the sand, rushes towards the monkey, jumps out sharply and presses with the weight of his entire body. Running helps to avoid getting under the press, perfect dodge also works. The move is the opening move of the battle. Later, before moving to the second phase of the battle, Fuban will repeat this attack, however will do it 3 times in a row.
  • Double claw swing in front of you with a final vertical strike: the attack is made with only one claw, move to the opposite side of the boss's body from this claw and dodge. In turn, a sideways roll, the "Cloud Walk" and "Rock Hard" magic save you from a vertical blow.
  • Uppercut with claws: Buries its claw in the sand and swings vertically from bottom to top. Uppercut with the horn - a stronger version of the strike. Rolling to the right is the safest.
  • Lateral press: Fuban leans to the side and falls to the ground with his whole body. Try not to stand to the side of the boss.

Important attacks of the transition period and the second phase:

  • Triple Enhanced Dive: burrows, then first sticks out a horn from the sand, and then uses the "Dive" ability, which he used at the beginning of the fight, 3 times. You can run away from the blow or roll, breaking the distance.
  • Collapse: stands up on its hind legs and slams its horn into the ground with all its weight. A few rolls to the side allow it to avoid damage.

Battle tactics

The battle is divided into 2 phases and the main thing is to survive the first one. Recommendations on how to do this:

  • The boss's opening move in phase 1 is Dive. Perform a perfect roll as the beetle falls, or run away to avoid damage.
  • The only parts of the beetle that take damage are its red front claws; both can be grabbed. The rest of the body is invulnerable, so try to stay near the boss's face.Vulnerable spots of the beetle.
  • Feel free to use any magic, artifacts and techniques
  • The first phase always ends with Triple Enhanced Dive, which can again be avoided by dodging or running with a constant gap.

After avoiding all three rounds of the beetle's diving moves, a cutscene will trigger where Yellow Wind Sage will stun the enemy. Next:

  • Jump onto Fuban's body using the "Ctrl" button. It's easiest to jump onto the horn first, and then just climb onto his back.
  • On the back, interact with the statue and suck the energy out of it.

The second phase will begin, in which Sage Yellow Wind will help The chosen monkey fights. From this point on it becomes much easier, however, if there is little drink left in the healing bottle, proceed as follows to defeat Fuban:

  • Don't interfere with Sage Yellow Wind's fight with the beetle. Stay nearby, but not too close. Let the ally stun and knock down the boss: he does this regularly.
  • As soon as the beetle falls, approach and inflict damage on its claws.

Repeat the previous steps until victory. Two or three cycles are enough to defeat the Yaoguai.

Awards

Victory allows you to obtain Fuban's power - "Wind Pill", which will be very useful in the context of the battle against the main boss of the Ridge - Sage of the Yellow Wind. The artifact reduces incoming damage, stuns enemies when used, and protects against whirlwinds.

Second prize - The Horn That Pierces the Heavens. Used in weapon crafting.

Defeating Fuban also partially unlocks insect armor set: the ability to create a hat, bracers and leg protection will be acquired after victory, but the last element of the set - body armor - can be opened in the future, after defeating the secret boss Lord of Scorpios in chapter 4.
