Henry tries to find and save Barbos, asking the herbalist and the innkeeper, helping the shepherd and the huntsman, who eventually direct him to the wolves' lair. Having reached the pack, the hero can either fight the predators, obtaining valuable trophies, or escape, having again found a loyal companion.
Find out what happened to Barbos
Start your search from the place where you were last separated from your dog - from Zheleyev, follow the stream west, ing the herbalist Bozhena. When you get to the pond, don't miss the turn between the rocks and stick to the narrow path.
The quest involves exploring a large area of the map, so we recommend doing it in advance. find or buy a horse.
Stop near the bandit who is searching the lifeless body. You can try to negotiate with him peacefully if you have enough points charm, intimidation or eloquence to check, or attack immediately.
Having dealt with the robber, inspect the dead deer at the edge of the road to progress further in the quest.
In the task, you can skip all stages of the search, going straight to the goal "Find Barbosa" and heading to the wolves' lair. Or complete the quest canonically, exploring different parts of the Troski region.
Ask the herbalist about Barbosa
Visit Bozena's house, located on the way back, and in a conversation with the herbalist, select the option "Did my dog happen to run past here?". From her you will receive new clues about who to turn to for help.
You can also get a secondary task in a conversation with Bozhena achievement "The Knight's Word."
Ask about Barbos in the tavern
Go to the tavern, which is located north of Zheleev, and talk to the innkeeper Lavrenty - during the day you can find him near the stove or on the street. The owner will advise you to the shepherd, he can also tell you fresh rumors about drowned man card.
You can try asking the fisherman about Barbos when you reach Vidlak Pond in the north. The man will also send Henry to the shepherd, give him a little tip about the hunter and the wolves - the howling of a pack can be heard on the other side of the pond. But he won't tell you anything useful.
Go and ask the shepherd from Kopanina
Visit the settlement of Takhs east of the fisherman and head north until you find a pasture to ask the shepherd from Kopanina where he saw Barbosa. Zdibrad saw a dog that had ed the wolves - agree to his plan and prepare bait to meet the pack.
Leave the bait near the birch trees on the slope
To attract wolves, you need to leave meat or a ram on the slope and check if there is Barbos among the pack. There are several ways to accomplish this goal:
- Put any meat - if you have dried, smoked or raw meat in your inventory, you can leave it near the birch trees.
- Steal food from the enemy camp - You can find meat in the robbers' den nearby and bring it to the hill.
- Hunt in the forest - You can scour the area for roe deer, deer, rabbits or wild boars, but this action will also block the "Post" achievement.
- Use Ignatz - If you don't feel sorry for the ram, just take him to the top and throw him a carrot. This will save time, but may spoil the shepherd's opinion of Indro.
To get by the end of the game achievement "Post" it is better to use the first methods and not kill the ram and wolves.
Put the meat
Head north to two birch trees where you can drop any meat from the bag. To do this, go to the inventory, mark the desired item and hold the button "Throw it away."
If you do everything correctly, you will notice a new objective "Hide in the bushes and wait for the wolves". If you miss and throw the piece past, pick it up and put it closer to the birches.
Visit the enemy camp
If you feel sorry for the ram, but you don’t have any meat with you, go over the hill to to the enemy camp, which you can learn about from the local herbalist Barnabas, or run straight to the marked point. Deal with the two bandits - you can strangle them without causing unnecessary noise, or start a fight.
Then inspect the bags and take them out. dried boar meat и dried hare meat. Return to the birches on the slope and place them as bait.
Take poor Ignatz to the birches on the slope
If you don't have any meat in your inventory and don't want to waste time, you can give the wolves a ram. Find Ignatz among the herd and take him to the same birches. He walks slowly and, losing sight of Henry, immediately returns to the pen, so you'll have to constantly keep an eye on him.
On the slope, go to the sum and throw away the vegetableto give Ignatz a carrot. While the ram is busy with the treat, hide in the bushes nearby.
Hide in the bushes and wait for the wolves
Look around and the camera will move towards the shelter, get through the bushes behind the tree and press the button "Hide from the Wolves"After a short wait, you will notice a gang of animals, among which Barbosa will not be found.
You can complete an additional goal and kill a pack of wolves, but then you will block the achievement "Post" for this playthrough. Block the predator's attack and deliver several counterattacks in a row, otherwise it is easy to miss the attack.
If you don't intend to get involved with the wolves, as soon as you see them in the distance, mount your horse and rush to the shepherd.
By bringing Ignatz to the slope and throwing him to be eaten by wolves, you will ruin your relationship with the shepherd. Therefore, try to protect the ram and return him to his owner.
Tell the shepherd Zdibrad about the wolf pack
When approaching Zdibrad, do not forget to remove the weapon from your hands, otherwise the man will take out an axe. Next, you can choose what to tell the shepherd about the wolves:
- I think I killed them all, - if the statement turns out to be a lie, the man will still give 20 groszy, but upon a second meeting, the reputation will decrease, since Zdibrad will find out about it.
- Nothing worked out... - loss of reputation.
In any case, it is better to say that you dealt with the wolves, even if it is a lie. You will earn some coins. After completing the shepherd's task, Henry will automatically tell about what happened and take the money.
Save the Hunter
Following the shepherd's lead, head to Vidlak Pond and head a little east to Voislav's house. If you haven't completed the side quest before "Little Worker", talk to his wife Zlata and accept the assignment. You have to save a drunkard from another pack of wolves to continue searching for the dog.
Having completed the assignment "Little Worker", find Voislav's house. Then you can ask the huntsman where to look for the lost Barbos. The hunter will tell you about a pack operating in Semin - no one can find a way to deal with them, it is quite possible that Henry's friend has ed them.
Where to find Barbosa
Reach Semin in the south of the Troska region and head west to the Gypsy Camp. From there, you can turn off to the pond and make a detour to reach the wolf pack's lair. Or, go down the short path in the forest - step on the edge of the yellow area and a cutscene will automatically start where Henry approaches the right cave.
Kill the wolves or run
Enter the battle and set the found Barbos on the wolves - the fight may not be easy, so it is better to do backup saveOtherwise, just run until the wolves leave you alone.
