How to get to the Mysterious Source Automaton: Configurator in Genshin Impact
The Mysterious Source Automaton is located in one of the cave locations of Natlan.
Start your journey from teleport, located on the border between the Toyek Creeks and Coatepec Mountain. From there, head southwest toward a wooden bridge that spans a gap between two small mountains. When you reach the planks, look down.
Go down into the cave and go deeper until you reach the underground teleporter.
From the point of movement there is a view of a small location, in which the arena with the boss is located.
Who to take into the squad to fight the Automaton of the Mysterious Source: Configurator
The boss uses Electro in battle, although the enemy's resistance is the same for all elements and equals 10%. However, at the beginning of the battle, the resistances increase to 60%.
Additionally, the Mysterious Source Constructor begins charging a spherical lightning cannon. The attack can be interrupted by entering the energy field located on top of the solid phlogiston pillars that the boss creates and destroying the mechanisms on them with any attack.
Since only a character belonging to a tribe can climb the pillars on their own Venti and others, however this is less convenient than the Natlan skills, since the boss can interrupt the jump with an attack.
Interrupting the boss's attack will slightly reduce his HP and lower his resistances. Also, being in the Night Spirit state significantly brings the activation of the boss's ability closer. Without the Night Spirit state, the Automaton will use its skill after 40 seconds. To fulfill all these conditions, it is recommended to take any Geo character of Natlan to the squad, for example, the free Kachina.
Character selection
Here is a list of heroes that can be used to defeat the Mysterious Source Automaton. For convenience, they are divided by roles in the team.
Main dd
The character that deals the main damage. It can have any element, but it is recommended to take characters that can enter the Night Spirit state to quickly lower the enemy's resistance, causing his powerful attack:
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
Enters the Night Spirit state and begins to move on a surf shark, placing marks on enemies. The basic attack activates marks and deals high damage to one target. Convenient in battles with bosses not only due to damage to one enemy, but also due to high evasion ability. | |||
In battle, he uses powerful charged attacks, attacking Hydro enemies from a distance. By collecting Source Drops, he can heal himself, which is useful during unexpected attacks from the boss. | |||
The skill can change the stance from close to long range, which will allow you to avoid the boss's attacks and deal high Hydro damage at the right moment. Elemental Explosion will allow you to hit one target with instant damage. | |||
Can't boast as high instant damage as the previous heroes, but he consistently attacks with fast Hydro attacks from his hand after activating the skill. His ult also allows him to the team as a Hydro applicator for reactions. | |||
Dendro is a damage dealer who fights in the Night Spirit stance. Kinich clings to enemies and deals high damage to them while infused. It is advisable to build squads for him using Burning or Bloom. | |||
A melee fighter who fights with normal or charged attacks with Dendro damage after activating an elemental skill. Thanks to the ability, he can quickly close in on enemies, and with his ult, he can deal damage over an area. | |||
Plays off charged attacks that hit Dendro with damage. Can speed up the charging of attacks by activating the skill. His elemental burst also deals high damage to a single target. | |||
A strong Pyro damage dealer who plays through the Life Debt mechanic, which gives her infusion and prevents her from healing. Deals high damage, but requires careful gameplay. | |||
Pyro damager who spends his HP. Hu Tao plays through charged attacks, and her damage depends on her health level. She can heal herself with her ult. | |||
Pyro main DD, attacks with fast normal hits under infusion. Convenient because it can deal a lot of damage to one target from a distance, without taking damage from the boss. | |||
Has gameplay similar to Harlequin, tied to Life Debt, but requires healing to maintain the debuff. In battle, enters a stance with E, and then deals Electro damage with normal attacks. | |||
A versatile Electro damage dealer who can be either a main DD or an element applicator or "battery". Electro attacks from his pocket along with the active character, and his ult deals high damage and restores the team's energy. | |||
Cryo DD, who uses charged bow strikes in combat, which deal area damage. Can also act as a convenient sub-DD for applying Cryo status. | |||
Deals high Cryo damage with both normal and charged attacks under infusion, as well as with a skill or ult. Since bosses are not susceptible to Freeze, it is better to compose a party for Ayaka in this case using other reactions. | |||
Another Cryo damage dealer who attacks mostly in melee and uses normal and charged attacks. Spends his HP, but also restores it. | |||
A Crystallize reaction damage dealer that increases his damage from absorbed crystals. He works best in teams that can inflict a lot of elemental status. | |||
Uses Anemo attacks and also enters a state that allows him to fly. He can easily dodge the boss's attacks and attack him at the same time. |
Sub dd
Secondary damage dealers that help the main DD deal damage and weaken the boss:
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
A sub-DD for Night Spirit teams, capable of attacking with Geo both on the field and from the pocket. Can climb the pillars of solid phlogiston that the boss places. | |||
Hydro sub-DD, playing from the ult. Deals its own damage from the pocket and buffs the active damager. Can move quickly with E-shka. | |||
Budget version of Ye Lan. Attacks without being on the battlefield, reduces incoming damage and slightly heals the active hero. | |||
A versatile heroine who, depending on her stance, can attack with E-type creatures or heal allies. Also provides strong buffs to the team. | |||
Uses an elemental explosion to deal high Pyro damage to an area. Used primarily to trigger or close reactions. | |||
Creates a field and attacks both from the pocket and on the battlefield with the ult. Diverts some of the incoming damage, increasing the team's survivability. | |||
Sub-DD for Dendro Reactions. Places marks on enemies that activate when reactions are triggered, and increases elemental mastery of allies with an elemental explosion. | |||
A secondary damage dealer, most often seen in Burning squads. Creates an area that deals constant Dendro damage inside. | |||
Places totems that periodically attack the enemy Electro. Removes them with an ult and deals high damage. | |||
Summons Oz the raven, who, alone or together with the active character (if there are constellations), deals Electro damage to enemies and gives a lot of status for reactions. | |||
A sub-DD tied to a small area of the ult that gives a Cryo element to reactions. Also increases the crit chance of allies depending on the value of this stat itself. | |||
Draws in enemies and inflates elements. Can absorb any element with the Ult, except Dendro and Geo. Set Wearer emerald shadow. | |||
Performs the same functions as Kazuha, but can also increase the elemental mastery of allies, act as a "battery" or carrier Epic of dragons. |
Sapports
characters that are needed not so much for damage, but for distributing buffs, healing or shields:
Character | Element | Weapon | Effects |
---|---|---|---|
Geo buffer that reduces enemy resistance to party ' elements. Like Kachina, it can climb phlogiston structures. | |||
A strong shielder that can protect the squad from most damage. Also reduces the resistances of nearby enemies. | |||
Increases damage of normal attacks, and if constellations are present, the speed of strikes. Absorbs part of incoming damage with E and can pump up energy for the team. | |||
Heals the team with a skill from the pocket or with normal attacks during the ult. Works well as a or driver if needed. | |||
Can't apply much Hydro status, but has strong healing. Also will enhance sub-DD skills that work from the pocket. | |||
A versatile that provides attack power and heals allies within a limited area. | |||
Pyro is a hero who provides the team with a reliable shield. With C6, he increases the damage of normal attacks. | |||
Dendro is a that can heal the entire team, provide shields, and apply a status for subsequent reactions. | |||
Summons a Yuegui bunny that, depending on the HP of allies, either heals them or deals damage to enemies. | |||
Spends some of his health and creates an area around himself that heals party and damages nearby enemies. Useful for triggering reactions with Electro. | |||
Cryo shield and healer in one person. When using Sacrificial Bow can serve as a battery. If there are constellations, it gives mastery of the elements. | |||
It has a strong shield and is also a reliable Cryo applicator for reactions. | |||
A strong Anemo healer who can use his ult to restore HP to the entire squad at once. He can wear the Viridescent Venerer set and inflate the elements. |

This boss ruined the previous abyss for me. There are no pumped-up characters from Natlan and there won't be any. But this time I came up with a counter to it. Zhong's Column. You can place it next to the boss's column, climb it and jump to the right one. Then, with the same old man, hit the mechanism and jump to the second column. There is enough time to do all these machinations.
Last time I tried to do this with Ka Ming, but in the end he didn't jump as high.
Sitlali jumps, but be careful with the stamina
I hit with a pack of Xiao, Fischl, Furin, Yao Yao
Xiao jumps with his ult right to the height of the columns, while Oz, the guests and the hare beat the boss himself conveniently
If anyone is interested, Kazuha is good at climbing columns.
I fly up to the columns every now and then) that's also a good option. I hit with it
Is it possible to climb these columns using the Mavuiki e-stick?
If Kachina climbs in, then Mavuika must too.
Yes, I checked ✔️
Well, what a cringe. After a long break (somewhere since the release of XSR), I went in, played around, Mauvica dropped out (there was a guarantee), tried to loot resources from this boss with it. It's so stuffy. The damage goes through 0. Well, I understand, Raiden is a very ancient character, as is Ganyu, as is Yanfei. There is simply NO ONE to climb these columns. Geo gg? Yeah, he'll go down from a single laser spit. Cool, awesome. Of course, I don't have characters from the new regions, even 4*. Okay, you can get Kachina from the event, but then you have to level her up first. So, it turns out, I have to go play other bosses and recraft resources? Well, that's even more cringe.
So you play badly. I ed and it easily with an overload squad, just with the outdated Raiden. With food I take it out in one rotation. Without food - it remains to kick a little. A pack of Raiden Fischl Syanka Chevrez.
Well, you seem to be a noob, with or without Mavuika I can take down this good guy in one go, if you don't want to get hit, go outside the range of the ult and run until he hits you
At the very least, you can still get "Too late, mechanism!"
Defeat the Mysterious Source Automaton: Configurator while it is paralyzed.
