How to find harper stashes in Baldur's Gate 3
In the BG3 locations of the first act, there are 3 areas with chests hiding valuable equipment.
Where to find the Harper Map
Travel to Wildwood, at the beginning of the game, to the wreck of the Illithid ship. There is a rocky path on the shore leading to a worn stone, which is shown in the screenshot. Jump over to the path, approach the stone and move it with a strong character, for example Karlach.
Under the stone you will find a buried patterned chest with gems, a map of the harpers and a diary. Two documents refer to the Wildwoods and Grimforge locations, where caches are left.
Where to find harpers' caches
After reading the map and diary from the patterned chest in Wildwoods, a marker with a question is activated. This is the first cache.
To find the first Harper Chest, go to the viewpoint in Wildwood, which has a good view of the coastline with the wrecked Illithid ship. Here, potions are scattered in barrels, and there are many valuable items in a patterned chest. Also in this area there is a rocky crevice. a dexterity test (difficulty 15) to retrieve a purse with a valuable prize from the spider's nest.
The second and main location, in which the lion's share of the treasures of the harpers is located - Grimforge, the port of the underground dwarves, which can be accessed from Underdark. Once in the location, follow the route shown in the screenshot. A symbol similar to a harp will be drawn on the stone, and 3 chests will stand in the district. These are level 3 mimics that attack heroes after trying to interact with them. Defeat everyone, collect loot from them, but do not leave.
In the area there is the 4th treasure of harpists with the most valuable prize. To find it, use Alt highlight the switch in the district called toy chest. Click on it. In a couple of steps, the previously invisible 4th cache of the harpist will appear. To open it, 2 checks in a row:
- Neutralization. Skill test difficulty 20.
- Breaking into. A test with difficulty class 20, also for manual dexterity.
