Due to this shift in timing, the audience expects the highest quality graphics, music, and production from the project, and judging by the trailers that have already been released, the creators are clearly putting in a lot of effort. Also, the anime director Kazuya Aiura has extensive experience in the industry both in this position and in of animation and storyboarding, which already gives a pretty high chance of a quality series.

9: Ruler's Crown is a screen adaptation of a popular visual that has collected many positive reviews from players at the time. Many compare this title to the legendary "EF" series and among the advantages they name the variety of heroines and their routes, nice graphics and cute character design along with a light, relaxed plot. Shinichiro Watanabe can rightfully be called a cult and significant figure in the anime industry. The creator has already given viewers the classic anime Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, and also directed the original, albeit sometimes controversial, series Echoes of Terror. Lazarus, even at the announcement stage, looks fascinating and atypical against the background of most projects of recent years, so we are eagerly awaiting the premiere.

The original manga was published in Japan from 2004 to 2019, after which it received a full-fledged sequel, which started in 2024. The franchise is often compared to the cult Berserk, and critics note the successful first half of the plot, the abundance of violence and 18+ content, as well as the dark setting and high-quality action. The portfolio of the original source also includes the Japan Expo award for the best seinen series of 2008, so the announcement looks promising.

In the finale of the first season, the audience was told the backstory of Mao Mao and her parents, brought together all the investigations of the protagonist and smoothly led to Gekuyo's pregnancy. The second part of the anime will clearly begin with Mao Mao's mission to provide the concubine with proper care and safety, protecting her from intriguers while she carries the child.
