Ask the people in the square

On the main city square, you can talk to any NPC and there will be a quest line among the replicas. Almost everyone you can talk to has not heard of the Hero, but the exception will be Margaret. She will joke that she is a character of the legend, but she will assume that the person she is looking for is very rich, and she will also advise talking to the night guard at the gate.

Question the guards at the city gates

Go to any gate and talk to the guards. One - Lawrence at the main gate - will tell that he met with the Hero, but immediately left so as not to interfere, and suspected that it was someone from the Ordo Favonius, and therefore checked the barracks. It turned out that the mysterious person is not a member of the Order, and the guards themselves do not know who it is. But the traveler will be offered to talk to the one whom the hero saved.

Ask a worried girl

Go to the flower shop and talk to Donna. She will give another clue, and as a result, it turns out that the Midnight Hero is a rich man who is not a member of the Ordo Favonius, owns Pyro the eye of a god, and most likely wears black clothes.

Walk around Mondstadt at night

If the time is not right, use Paimon's ability and rewind past 18:00. The map will display the zone to which you have to go - this is the side gate of the city, next to which there is usually an NPC of reputation. Upon arrival, a cutscene will play, in which the traveler will meet an urban legend.

Talk to Dilyuk

After the video, you will have to talk with the law enforcement officer on the night streets. He will be surprised at the nickname he received, and he will also share his own thoughts about what is happening. Dilyuk will have a request to keep his identity a secret.

Defeat the advancing enemies

The conversation will be interrupted by a group of aggressive hilichurls. You will have to deal with them on your own, several waves attack, but they do not pose a danger.

Talk to Hoffman

After you deal with the enemies, the guard Hoffman will come running to the noise. Talk to him, but pretending to be a hero will not work. This completes the first group of tasks.

How to get through the Order of the Abyss dungeon

You will have to fight a bunch of enemies, mostly hilichurls and slimes. After defeating the opponents in each hall, use the mechanism to go further. In the depths of the fortress, there will be an Abyssal Hydromage with a unique name, defeat him to ask him.

Interrogate the Abyss Mage and learn about the Order's plans

The beaten opponent will have to make and tell about everything - if he refuses, he is fried with the help of the eye of god. The magician will tell you when and where the attack will take place.

After the interrogation, a precious chest will appear nearby, take its contents and exit the dungeon.

You can find Hoffman near the headquarters of the Ordo Favonius, he has unexpected news. The knights are not going to sit on the sidelines: they plan to identify the night protector and offer him help. Pretend you don't know anything about the Midnight Hero. Kaya will soon appear and order Hoffman to watch Dilyuk all evening. Maybe he knows something.

He will not be surprised by the reaction of the knights and Keia's suspicions, but will come up with a new plan. Dilyuk will need an alibi. In order to provide it, you need to get a few plants.

Where to find misty flowers

You need to find 4 misty flowers - these are Cryo plants that grow near the water and freeze everyone who touches them. To collect, you need a Pyro character who will unfreeze the sprout and make interaction with it possible.

At the teleportation point next to the distillery, 3 flowers grow at once under the protection of a group of Cryo slimes. There are enough places in Mondstadt where you can get the item you need.

After collecting the whisks, head back to the distillery to craft elemental bait. The equipment will be destroyed, but the bait is ready. Need to check it out.

Inside, Hoffman is already waiting, following Kaya's orders, and a red-haired bartender, who is being monitored. The order will not work - it turns out that there is no wallet, but in fact this is an excuse to complete the next part of the plan.

Leave the building and go to the point marked on the map of the city, it is not far away.

Place the elemental lure at the side gate

The side gates are nearby, go through them and set the bait near the pier - the right place will be marked. It will work very soon - the slimes have already smelled it.

The traveler will automatically be returned to the tavern, where a knight and a bartender are waiting. Paimon will demand an order, but at that moment the guard will burst in with the news that a whole army of slimes is attacking the gate. Hoffman will consider this a weapon of the Order, mention the mission and thereby provoke Dilyuk, who will begin to suspect that the knight is here for a reason. The latter will have to leave to fight the creatures, but he will ask you to look after the suspect and not let him leave the tavern.

Fight your enemies at the main gate of Mondstadt

After that, immediately go to the main gate to fight back the main forces of the Order of the Abyss. When approaching them, a cutscene will start in which the Midnight Hero will deal with a crowd of hilichurls and a couple of abyss mages, but reinforcements will arrive and have to the battle. For this time, Dilyuk will again be a playable character, and after the battle, a conversation with him will automatically begin.

Get back to the tavern faster than Hoffman

The hero will hide much faster, and the traveler will have to return on their own. In any case, the player will arrive earlier, and the knight will return almost immediately. He is very suspicious, and therefore will ask the visitors present if the bartender left the tavern, but he will receive an unambiguously negative answer. It turns out that all the guests are fake and are employees of the distillery ... with the exception of Captain Kayi, who was watching everything. Dilyuk does not really want to talk to him and therefore hurries to kick him out the door. Even though Midnight Hero is a loner, he enjoyed working together. This concludes the chapter.
