Abdirak in Goblin camps. Thanks to it, you will receive a buff that lasts until the end of the game - a useful effect will help in the battle with the most formidable opponents, just like the weapon with necrotic damage that the follower of Loviatar always keeps with him.
In this guide we will tell you in detail what Abdirak gives in Baldur's Gate 3, where to find this character and how to his test. We will explain whether it is worth leaving the torture master alive and what will happen if you kill him.
Where to find Abdirak in Baldur's Gate 3
Abdirak is in a torture chamber in the Broken Sanctum, near the Goblin Camp. You will be able to get there according to the plot:
- Travel to the Extinct Village and move west from it.
- the first wooden bridge and go north to the main goblin camp.
- Enter the door guarded by the troll.
- Continue along the corridor until you reach the main hall.
- Climb the first staircase on the right and enter the nearest torture chamber, which is called here "Blood-stained Sanctuary".
- Abdirak stands near a wall covered in blood.
You will only be able to talk to a follower of Loviatar if you have won the favor of the goblins and were able to enter the camp without hindrance. If everyone is killed, then Abdirak will run away and will not be seen again in the game.
How to get Loviatar's favor in Baldur's Gate 3
To get Abdirak's buff, talk to him and his test - there are several charisma checks to overcome, so choose the right character in advance. Also keep in mind that the blessing will only appear on the squad member who has ed Abdirak's test. There will be no second attempt, so choose responsibly.
How to Abdirak's test
When you interact for the first time, choose the following dialogue options:
- "What are you talking about?".
- "It's disgusting".
- “What a reasonable husband. How do you know?".
- “And how would you do it?”
- "Okay, why not".
Next you will have to experience all the love of Loviatar. Face the wall to start the challenge and click on any of the options provided, except endurance.
Abdirak's silence will not impress you and he will not give you any bonuses at the end, so choose Execution or Intimidation. For the first time you have to a charisma test [KS - 5], in the next 2 hits, use the same option as at the beginning, and the same test, but with a stricter check [DC - 10].
How does Loviatar's blessing work?
The blessing of Loviatar in Baldur's Gate 3 will only be given to the character who has ed the test of Abdirak, but after death it is lost. Be careful, because the buff can only be received once during the entire playthrough, so avoid death at all costs.
The blessing provides the following improvement: if the character has 30% health or less, he receives a bonus +2 к attack rolls и tests of wisdom on 3 move - the buff will be very useful in battles with formidable opponents. When the bonus is activated, it will change its name to Loviatar's Favor.
After the death and resurrection of a character, you will not be able to activate the blessing again, so act carefully and take out a squad member from knockout in time so as not to lose the buff. Also, do not use potions or healing spells, otherwise the bonus effect will disappear before the subsequent health reduction.
Is it worth killing Abdirak?
Abdirac is worth killing if you want to take his weapons - Scourge Loviatar. However, there is no need to rush - we recommend getting Loviatar’s blessing first, because this is the only way to unlock the buff. Also keep in mind that the battle with Abdirak will ruin relations with the goblins, who will massively take up arms against the squad.
Mace Scourge Loviatar has the following characteristics:
- Rarity: unusual.
- Type of weapon: mace.
- Damage: 1d6+strength modifier (bludgeoning) + 1d6 necrotic.
- Skills: Thirsty Whip – deals 1~6 necrotic damage to all nearby characters, including the owner, and gives additional resistance to it.
The weapon is useful, but in order not to spoil your relationship with the goblins, try to steal it, otherwise a difficult battle awaits.
To safely pick up the mace, do the following:
- Enable turn mode with a keyboard shortcut Shift + Space default.
- Place the character with the best thieving skills behind Abdirak, and place the rest near the goblins at the entrance.
- Start by talking to the goblins. If you do this in normal mode, then after a couple of phrases the opponents will turn towards Abdirak and notice a creeping squad member.
- Draw your weapon and disable travel mode using the same key combination.
If you have an invisibility potion with you, then use it to steal the mace - it is much easier and safer. You can also try to distract everyone from the goal by playing a musical instrument.
