Aalto [Aalto] in Wuthering Waves β a four-star Aero character who uses pistols as his weapons. Aalto is a hybrid character with a unique playstyle. The broker can create fog gates that increase the damage of shots that through them, and he can also use these gates to move through space, turning into a foggy haze and significantly increasing his speed. This, combined with his ability to place distracting baits, makes the man almost elusive, especially if you know how to play him.
But the most powerful part of his abilities is definitely his Outro skill, which gives the next ally bonus Aero damage, making him a great partner for Jiyan or any other future Aero damage dealer. In this guide, we will cover Aalto's build, including the best weapons, Echo, stats, and materials for leveling.

How to get Aalto
Aalto in Wowering Waves is a 4β character, obtainable in any banner, including the weapon one, but with a random chance. To unlock the hero's resonance chains, you need to get copies of him. The easiest way to collect Aalto consts is when the chance of his drop increases in the event banner.
Aalto's characteristics
Depending on the stage of elevation, the values ββof the main characteristics increase: attack power, health and defense. You can track the exact increases in parameters in the table below:

As you learn talents in the Skills tab, Aalto gains an additional 12% increase to his Aero Damage and ATK bonus.
Aalto's abilities
Let's take a look at Aalto's entire skill set.
Active abilities
Basic and Heavy Attack, Air Attack, Counter [Half Truths]
- Basic Attack - Fires up to 5 consecutive shots, dealing Aero damage. 4th basic attack spreads Mist, the effect of which lasts for 1,5 seconds.
- Heavy Attack - Aalto enters aiming mode for a more powerful shot. Aimed shot deals Aero damage.
- Mid-air Attack - Aalto spends his stamina to fire consecutive shots at a single airborne target, dealing Aero damage.
- Counterattack [Dodge Counter] - Using a basic attack after a successful parry and dodge will deal a counterattack with increased Aero damage.
Resonance Skill: Switch Trick [Resonance Skill:Shift Trick]
Aalto creates Mist ΠΈ Mist Avatar, which distracts enemies. The clone inherits some of Aalto's health and generates 6 Mist Bullets, dealing Aero damage. The damage of Mist Bullets is considered as Resonance Skill damage.
Forte Circuit: Mist Cover
In the Aalto Resonance Scale, he can accumulate 6 Mist Drops, which recover from normal attacks or attacks in the air, but to do this they must necessarily go through Mist, created by either the 4th Basic Attack or the Resonance Skill.
When Aalto himself es through the Fog, he enters a state Mistcloak DashIn this state, his movement speed increases and Mist Drops are consumed, and for each Drop consumed, one Mist Bullet is created.
Resonance Liberation: Flower in the Mist
Aalto creates Gate of Quandary, dealing Aero damage. When bullets through this Gate, Aalto's ATK increases (total ATK can increase up to 10%). The Gate can last for 10 seconds.
ive skills
Inherent Skill 1 [Inherent Skill: Perfect Performance] - Once every 30 seconds, Aalto deals guaranteed critical damage with a heavy attack.
Inherent Skill 2 [Inherent Skill: Mid-game Break] - While in the "Fog Dash" state, Aalto will continuously replenish stamina.
Switching skills
Intro Skill: Feint Shot - Aalto continuously attacks the target, dealing Aero damage.
Outro Skill: Dissolving Mist - The next Resonator you switch to gains a 23% Aero Damage bonus for 14 seconds.
Resonance circuit (consts)
Trickster's Opening Show | Resonance Skill cooldown reduced by 4 seconds. |
Mistweaver's Debut | Mist Clone gains 100% of Aalto's HP. When Aalto attacks targets taunted by Mist Clone, his ATK increases by 15%. |
Hazey Transition | When a Basic Attack or Air Attack es through a Gate of Obstruction, 2 additional bullets are created that deal 50% of the Basic Attack or Air Attack's damage. |
For dessert β Blake Bloom [Blake Bloom for Finale] | Mist Bullets damage increased by 30%. Aalto takes 30% less damage while in Mist Dash. |
Applause of the Lost | While in Mist Dash, Aero increases Aalto's damage by 25% for 6 seconds. |
Broker's Secrets | When Resonant Release is activated, Aalto's critical hit chance is increased by 8%. When Aalto's Heavy Attack es through the Gate of Obstruction, its damage is increased by an additional 50%. |
All the consts on Aalto perform well, but the highlight of the Resonance Chain is third link, since it is capable of increasing damage by 77% (!) without any damage, which puts Aalto in a very advantageous position among characters of similar rarity.
Advantages and disadvantages
Like any character, Aalto has his pros and cons.
Advantages | Disadvantages |
Has decent damage for a four star character. | For Aalto to start showing truly outstanding results, it is necessary to open at least the third const, and if you want to make a made-DD out of him, getting const becomes mandatory. |
Fast and easy to understand rotation | Low-use ive talents |
A unique ability that allows you to distract enemies, which provides additional survivability to the team. | Has a limited list of characters that Aalto could |
A strong Outro that will still be useful no matter what element the character is ed on. | The Mist Droplet mechanic is interesting, but very difficult to implement in endgame content like Tower of Tribulations. |
Aalto's skill set deals decent damage to single targets, but lacks AoE abilities. He also lacks burst potential (dealing maximum damage in a short period of time). |
Skill Improvement Order
When looking at Aalto's guide in more detail, it's worth taking a closer look at the order of leveling up his main abilities.
Basic Attack > Resonance Skill = Resonance Gauge > Resonance Release > Intro Skill
Aalto's damage is incredibly evenly split between his Basic Attack, Resonance Skill, and Resonance Gauge, each dealing about a quarter of his damage during the rotation. However, this all changes when he gains the third link of the Resonance Chain, which directly scales with Aalto's Basic Attack damage and can greatly increase his damage output. As such, Basic Attack should take priority over Resonance Skill and Resonance Gauge.
Upgrading Aalto's Resonant Release will only increase the damage dealt by the ult, upgrading it will not increase the attack power bonus received from the Gate of Obstruction. Upgrading the Intro skill does nothing but slightly increase damage and does not damage Aalto with it.

Aalto's Best Build in Wuthering Waves
Let's look at how to assemble Aalto to fully reveal the character.
Recommended value of characteristics
- HP: 14000+
- ATK: 1700-2000+
- Defense: 1000+
- Aero Damage Bonus: 52-82%+
- Critical Hit Chance: 50-70%+
- Critical Damage: 250-260%+
- Energy recovery: 130-140%
Aalto needs to use his ultimate to quickly gain Concerto energy, so it is recommended to pump the recovery to 130-140% so that he can use it when needed.
Weapon Selection
Static Mist β the best weapon on Aalto, partly because it's perfect for secondary damage dealers, partly because there are no more five-star pistols in the game.
Among four-star weapons the situation is better. Relativistic Jet It ranks high in the budget rating thanks to its high base ATK, complemented by a solid attack power bonus and additional resonance energy. Novaburst ΠΈ Thunderbolt are a worthy alternative, but only because of their base stats and not their active effects. Finally, Pistols #26 offer Aalto almost nothing beyond their initial characteristics, and the active effects kick in just as Aalto leaves. Still, that's enough to call them an acceptable alternative.
If none of these guns are available, Pistols of Night - more than a reasonable option until you acquire a better weapon.
Name | Description | Comment |
Static Mist |
Increases energy recovery by 12.8%-25.6%. After using the Outro skill, increases the attack of the character that was switched to by 10%-20% every 14 seconds. | High base attack, secondary crit chance, some energy regeneration, and attack bonus for the next character are ideal stats for a sub-DD team. |
ββββ Basic attack: 37-462 Attack Power: 4,1-18,2% |
When Resonance Skill is activated, 6-10 units of Resonance Energy are restored and ATK is increased by 10-20% for 16 seconds. The effect can be triggered once every 1 seconds. | The best choice for a budget pair of pistols with high base stats that are further increased by secondary stats and an active effect. The additional resonance energy also helps maintain optimal team rotation. |
ββββ Basic attack: 33-412 Attack Power: 6,8-30,4% |
After sprinting or dodging, increases attack power by 4%-8% for 8 sec. The effect stacks up to 3 times. | An interesting pair of pistols that require a lot of dodging to use to their full potential. In practice, this means a delay in rotation for a fairly small advantage until reaching rank 5. Can be used as an attack power stick if Relativistic Jet is unavailable. |
ββββ Basic attack: 31-387 Attack Power: 8,1-36,5% |
After hitting a target with a normal or heavy attack, the damage of the Resonance skill increases by 7%-23%. The effect can occur 1 per second, lasts for 10 seconds, and stacks up to 3 times. | A set of pistols that can be obtained as a reward for the battle . A good alternative to the other pistols listed, although as you level up they do not increase in power as much as you would like. A good stick for stats, but nothing more. |
ββββ Basic attack: 31-387 Attack Power: 8,1-36,5% |
When the Resonator is not taking damage, its attack is increased by 6%-12% every 5 seconds. The effect stacks up to 2 times and lasts for 8 seconds. When taking damage, the stacks are reduced by 1, and the Resonator recovers 5%-10% HP. | Another variation of the stat stick, this time with an active bonus that kicks in right when Aalto leaves. Not the best choice for a sub-DD, but very stylish. |
βββ Basic attack: 26-325 Attack Power: 5,4-24,3% |
Increases attack power by 8%-16% after using the Intro Skill. | A reasonable alternative if there are no other damaging options. |
ββββ Basic attack: 33-412 Attack Power: 6,8-30,4% |
After using the Intro skill, increases the damage of the Resonance skill by 20%-40% for 15 sec. | A pretty decent set of pistols, which in Aalto's case will end up being a more expensive version of Pistols of Night, since the active skill only increases the damage of the Resonance Skill. |
βββ Basic attack: 24-300 Attack Power: 6,8-30,4% |
Increases Resonance Skill damage by 12-24%. | 3-star version of Undying Flame: Same active bonus with lower base stats. |
ββββ Basic attack: 27-337 Energy recovery: 11,52-51,84% |
Restores 8-16 units of Concert Energy after using the Resonance skill. The effect occurs once every 20 seconds. | A pair of multi-functional pistols that allow you to speed up the rotation of certain characters by generating additional Concerta energy. At rank 2 and above, they exclude one basic attack from Aalto's ability rotation, which, however, is not so terrible and will not greatly affect the damage, because Aalto will practically not do any damage with this weapon anyway. |
Echo's Choice
Best Echoes for Aalto:
Echo Set | Main Echo for dialing | Recommendations |
2 parts: energy recovery speed increases by 10%. |
Effect: transforms into a creature and takes off, diving down and dealing 223.22% Havok damage. When holding the skill, you can remain in the form of a creature for a longer time and attack with flames, dealing 40.05% Havok damage for each attack. The very first attack that hits enemies restores 10 units. character energy. If the hero uses an Outro skill within the next 15 seconds, the damage of the next resonator will be increased by 12% for 15 seconds. Cooldown - 20 sec. |
A recommended Sonata for Aalto, used to buff primary DPS units with an Outro Skill and extra attack power. Impermanence Heron is a versatile Active Echo option for all secondary DPS units using the Moonlit Clouds Sonata. While Echo has no effect on Aalto himself, it doubles the effect of the Sonata, giving the next Resonator in line more options. |
2 parts: energy recovery speed increases by 10%. |
Effect: Using Echo in combat activates special protection and also deals area damage to Glacio, depending on 91.20-145.92% of the creature's carrier's defense. The main bonus is an additional protective effect that reduces incoming damage for 15 seconds due to the aforementioned protection, and also increases all outgoing damage by 10%. This bonus affects the entire squad. The recovery time of the Echo skill, in turn, is 20 seconds. |
Prime Echo provides a 10% buff effect for the entire team and a shield that blocks 50% of incoming damage for the next three hits when used. The shield does not stack if multiple characters are using it. This option is only worth considering if you want to use it for some reason. In of damage buff, Bell-Borne Geochelone is definitely worse than Impermanence Heron. |
2 parts: energy recovery speed increases by 10%. |
Effect: Activates a shockwave that launches an air flow that deals 32,10-51,36% Aero Damage and creates a Low Pressure Zone. The Low Pressure Zone continuously pulls enemies within its radius towards the center for 2 seconds, dealing 12,48-19,37% Aero Damage, stacking up to 6 times. |
A good choice for Echo for those who are just starting out and can't easily get Impermanence Heron. Used to tether enemies and get extra energy from it. Thanks to Aalto's Aero damage bonus, his damage isn't as bad as you might expect. |
2 parts: Aero damage increased by 10%. |
Effect: Using Echo in combat allows you to transform into a creature and perform a powerful kick. If the attack hits an enemy, another kick will be performed as an additional bonus. In the first case, Aero damage will be equal to 231.94%, in the second - 283.36%. The main bonus of Echo is an increase in Aero damage and heavy attacks in the form of 12.0% for the next 15 seconds. However, to activate it, it is important to perform an additional second kick after the first powerful one. |
An alternative set for those who want Aalto to be the main DPS in the team. Sonata provides a solid bonus to Aero damage when activating the Intro skill, which increases Aalto's individual damage by ~23,26%, albeit at the expense of an intentional weakening of the team. The most suitable Echo option for Sierra Gale is Feilian Beringal. The monkey deals quite significant damage and increases Aero damage and Heavy attack damage (which Aalto cannot effectively use) by 12%, the attack animation can be canceled after the first hit. |
2 parts: Aero damage increased by 10%.
|
Effect: The resonator transforms into a creature and performs a spinning attack that deals 70.00-112.00% Aero damage, followed by a slash that deals 105.00-168.00% Aero damage.
|
If you're just starting out or don't have a decent Feilian Beringal, and want to stack Aalto for damage, this Echo is just right. It won't give you any buffs or bonuses, but it will help you out a bit in combat with some decent damage. |
Recommended stats to look for in Echo's core stats:
4 cost | Critical Damage/Critical Hit Chance |
3 cost | Aero Damage Bonus/Energy Regen% |
3 cost | Aero Damage Bonus |
1 cost | ATK% |
1 cost | ATK% |
When choosing the primary 4-Cost Echo stat, keep your weapon's secondary stats in mind. If Aalto is equipped with pistols with a bonus to critical hit chance, the priority will be pumping up critical damage, in other cases, preference is given to the critical chance.
For Echo's 3-Cost, regardless of weapon used, is a doubling of Aero damage, mostly due to the overabundance of ATK boosts from other sources. While Aero Damage Bonus +VE% can be used instead, this option should mostly be treated as a stopgap, as it does not increase Aalto's damage any more than necessary.
Secondary stats that you need to unlock in Echo to get the most benefit (from most to least important):
- Energy recovery (up to 40%)
- Critical Damage/Critical Hit Chance
- Attack power, both in % and without
- Basic Attack DMG
- Res. Skill DMG
- Res. Liberation DMG Bonus
Squads for Aalto
Let's look at Aalto's strongest allies and teams.
Best characters
Let's look at the heroes that go well with Aalto:
Character | Class | Element | Features |
---|---|---|---|
All three s in the game will increase Aalto's damage, but in slightly different ways, if they play with him on the same team. The girls provide a bonus to ATK, protect against fatal blow (Baiji β if there is a 5th constant), and the Keeper can also give out a bonus to critical damage and critical chance, while protecting against knockdowns. | |||
The most obvious choice for a character, Jiyan benefits greatly from Aalto's Outro, although its effect is more spread across all of his skills rather than being doubled during Resonant Release like Mortefi. | |||
A less obvious choice for , primarily because Jianxin isn't usually put in the main damage role. However, the Aero damage buff isn't wasted, as all of her attacks still have an Aero element to them after all. | |||
The best for Aalto's maid DD, Sanhua has the shortest rotation of all hybrid heroes, as well as an incredible 38% buff to basic attack damage, making her the best option for Aalto the damage dealer. |
Top Teams
At the moment, there are only two viable teams for Aalto.
Aalto sub-DD
Main-dd | Sub-dd | /sub-dd | Comment |
---|---|---|---|
This team composition focuses on increasing Jiyan's Aero damage with Aalto's Outro skill, while Coastguard/Verina further enhances both Resonators with her buffs. Baiji can be used as a free alternative. |
Aalto main-dd
Main-dd | Sub-dd | /sub-dd | Comment |
---|---|---|---|
At the moment Sanhua β the only character capable of buffing normal attack damage, making her an ideal for Aalto's main DD, and also with the shortest rotation in the game (if properly pumped, her time on the battlefield can be less than 10 seconds). The rotation of the Guardian/Verina also doesn't take much time, so Aalto will have time to fully take advantage of these girls' bonuses. |
Aalto: Rotation
Sub-DD Aalto
When playing Aalto as a sub-DD, be aware that canceling Mist Dash too early will result in a decrease in Concerto energy output and a delay in the rotation, and all the Mist Droplets generated by his Resonance Scale will be consumed. Slightly less important (but still worth mentioning) is Aalto's positioning after he breaks through the Mist he created. Be sure to turn back after the dash to avoid accidentally going through a Gate of Obstacle and missing out on the damage boost.
- Intro skill
- Resonant Release (Ultimate)
- Resonance Skill (E-class)
- Basic Attack 1-5
- Make a dash through the fog
- Basic Attack 3-5
- Echo (Impermanence Heron)
- Outro skill
Main-dd Aalto
It's practically no different from the rotation for Aalto's sub-DD, the only thing is that Echo should be used not at the end of the rotation, but at the beginning, after the Intro skill. Hit enemies until Aalto uses up the bonuses generated by Echo, Sanhua, and Guardian/Verina.
Π‘onclusion
In conclusion, Aalto in WoW is a secondary damage dealer with decent Aero damage, who under certain conditions can easily act as the main DD, but this requires unlocking the Resonance Chain links, since at S0 his damage is far from impressive, and the gameplay is inconvenient. For example, when moving through the Fog, a situation will often arise where you find yourself between the gate and the enemies you just shot at. Because of this, Aalto will either be forced to change position, or create another gate with his skill (which requires a long cooldown), or perform a full sequence of basic attacks without receiving Fog Drops.
All of these options are inconvenient, but necessary to perform an optimal rotation. It doesn't help that he has a playstyle with an extremely high ultimate cost (150) and a requirement to play through charged attacks that almost no other marksman in the game uses, as well as ive abilities that are of little use.
Because of all the above limitations, Mortefi quickly replaced Aalto as Jiyan's , and with Jiyan's popularity as a damage dealer declining, Aalto seems to have been forgotten altogether. Kuro Games' reluctance to release more Aero characters in the near future also plays a role. Does this mean that Aalto is beyond saving? Not at all. Despite his shortcomings, he is still capable of ing Jiyan or any other future Aero characters, regardless of their abilities, and unlocking the Resonance Chain links in his case actually makes sense, as it will help him throughout the life of the player's .
We hope this guide helped you put together the best build for Aalto in Wowering Waves. Read on for a detailed Wuthering Waves section.
When playing Aalto as a main DD, the most effective way is to use air attacks as often as possible. Eshka, then jump and LMB many times.
I knocked out a carlotta sign for him and I don't regret it at all. My favorite boy. I'm collecting for dd.
I agree. And together with Sanhua it deals excellent damage. I close the tower with it.
